Just come back from an excellent run in a Ferrari 458 challenge car with the drift limits guys. They were really a great friendly and informative group of guys, with lots of cars in their garage. I wanted to do the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 but it was out of action, so I got to try this 430 challenge cup car out. Yes the ffb was really heavy lol! Also matched my t300 GTE wheel I have... I had trouble with one corner which I seemed to want to throttle more on as I thought the car had more grip in it, I soon found out I was wrong lol. But the grip and the brake stopping power just awesome plus the acceleration! a must try!! Not a huge track and I was limited in gearing but gave a great feel of one of these cup race cars. Can I say... it seemed faster onboard than the gopro suggests! ha Next is that macca!!! to come soon! .....this is my Formula Renault Day from a few years ago (my old avatar.) I did an onboard for this but they gave me some others drivers footage was so angry!.
My experience: Lamborghini Gallardo Audi R8 Ferrari 360 The Ferrari tire had a puncture in the second lap.
I felt the R8 more stable and gave me more confidence to accelerate. The Gallardo is more brutal. When you change gears, you receive a punch in the back.
I had a good chuckle when the instructor said something like, "You keep accelerating and I'll keep braking".
Was waiting for someone to point that out lol eh what do you expect... novice drives full blown race car. Suppose have to have a way to stop some lunatic writing it off. That's the corner I was talking about. Ha
Looks like the sound guys for rF2 will have to do a complete re-think about exterior sounds. Replace the engine with obnoxious howling wind noise!!!
Looked like a lot of fun mate, I've done a couple of BMW and Merc ones in the past and they are always awesome.
I just wanted to point out how fakey the grass looked in his side-of-the-car videos. No un-even textures and the like(perhaps cuz they mowed the lawn?) yea, yea, being petty and jealous....
