First, I will state all these cool GT3 skins being painted do NOT work with the AI yet. But I'm hoping at some point S397 gets that sorted.
    But 2nd.
We are seeing ADAC skins, Blancpain & Liquid Moly skins, Imsa, etc etc. We NEED someway to organize them first by the new material system and 2nd by the league they are associated with. A skin should be grouped in the menu not just by the GT3 header, but S397/GT3/League a, b,c,d, etc The Apex modding team did a great job sorting all their GT3 skins. We need rcd files included with the skins or whatever is needed to properly sort them so that once the AI useage gets fixed, us normal users can download a skin and it will extract to the proper folder and be sorted for us in-game.
Perhaps SOMEBODY could write an installer program and share it with the painters so that every skin gets installed in the same manner.

That is all done in the veh ini file. So it's not impossible to do. Off cause we come back to a 7 year old issue with rF2 that was talked about, Disgust at length, Even argued about the day rF2 was first released that the add-on skins system in place (as is) will greatly limit and ultimately cause problems just like your describing and more.

You see once upon a time in the land off rF2 we did have people that actually knew their shit! Being modders, Developers, Skinners and programmers who used to work hard and do hundreds off hours of their own time to add really good stuff to rF2.

Unfortunately 90% off those people have thrown their hands up in the air saying, "F It!" and gone on to other things!

So you can thank the "Fan Boys" who's feedback was based on bend over so we can kiss it instead off telling it how it was. Off cause people love great feedback! Not so much bad feedback so the end result is Dev listened to mister but kiss and not the people who actually knew what the F" they where talking about!

END RESULT! You have what you've asked for!

    Rubbish!
You then need to re pack the mod if you can with the current system used by the Devs. If you don't, the mod stops working because you've modified it (Changed it)
Making the mod totally useless for online races!

Wish people would STOP feeding out false, misleading, uninformed crap like this!!!!

Yes, this is spot on. Having being around since the beta way way back. This has always been a complaint. The over complexity of package system for skinning etc turned a lot of RF1 mod developers off . Devs didnt care and behold AC came along and showed how easy it can be and they moved on. Given AC is inferior didn't matter as it was easy. Finally we are slowly seing some modders come back but these issues still remain with little access to free tools.etc the list could go on. It's a general shame. we probably gonna do a full circle were modders come back and realise problems are still here and head off again but where I don't know as ACC will be locked down most likely.

    Your talking offline I'm guessing.
The old way is that you can do as your suggesting and it may work offline but "want" work online! What your telling people is ok to do will make their install (mod) broken for online racing.
So it's "not" wrong what I said when/ if you want to race online. Suggesting to people that you can change the Teams Mas to suit yourself and "not" add or explain that the mod would now become online incapable is foolish!
