You, sir...thank you! Couldn't find that anywhere on the tutorial but working like an absolute dream now! Also explains why I couldn't get chrome working on the black layer too. Isn't she a beaut? :) ddf gt3 12.JPG

"For this particular skin we want the base color blue to be regular reflective painting, the grey areas to be either matte or silver, the sponsors logos and numbers panels to be vinyl wraps. Only the Black region can trigger silver, gold, metallic paint effect. So for our example let's place it on top of the Blue region which will be the reflective painting. Red will be carbon parts, green will be parts, white will be vinyl wraps and stickers."

It has been said multiple times that they are working on a documentation about it. If things follow the skin editor maybe we'll finally start having mods look more similar to each other and give rF2 a consistent look

I thought that the documentation they was producing was only about the templates and skinning of the new GT3 (alredy released).
    Thanks!!!

Okay, another quick question from myself here. The chrome effects are working great in the showroom, however, when I take the car out on track it's not chrome anymore, it's just the base colour on the skin. Is this a known issue or have I missed something obvious again? I've already tried the 'reload' from within the showroom trick but that's not worked unfortunately. I've attached a screenshot from in game to this reply, see about 4 or 5 posts back for my screenshot from the showroom.

The track has to have the REMAP0 set on. Try another official track.

Try Silverstone, Sebring, Bathurst or NOLA. Works there.

If you want to setup a chrome material properly, you want to use the default hangar showroom because it has proper reflections that are visible to the chrome material.

Windows normally have transparency, i.e. require alpha channel, so you want to use DXT5 or you don't have transparent windows ;)

The Carpainteditor in the browser works for the new GT3 cars, but now that they released the templates I wanted to repaint my Bentley, but the Editor always says: Car not supported?

Does it work for you with the older cars?
