That button box has rotary encoders not rotary switches.
Rotary encoders are used for things like brake bias, volume up/down etc. They only send out two commands ( one for clockwise, one for anti clockwise ) and they also can be turned infinitely, no end stop.
A rotary switch has, for example, 12 positions and cannot be turned past the first and last position.
Each position can be assigned a command, say for the HUD 1: Damage screen, 2: Tyre wear/temp screen, 3: Timing Screen etc.

Please educate me if I'm incorrect. ;)

Hey Ari, great that the rotary switch works on the dsd, unfortunately I am sure it isn't the same on the new fanatec wheels. My understanding is that the game has to allow the functionality for it.

Yes it seem to be wrong. I send mail to DSD about it.

Thank you so much for all the fixes and added features of this latest build, especially the AI liveries, which will make a lot of the people doing skins happy. Good job and quick response!

Have a look in your server's steamapps folder for appmanifest_400300.acf, open (I use notepad++) and check line 11.

When you say the AI now show custom liveries, does that mean they will randomly select alts? Or do we still have to generate a custom car from scratch?

I would think you would have to use the tuning screen to create an alt, then it should be available from then on. (just guessing tho...)

Yeah, I was just trying to understand what that patch note means specifically as I'm starting to set up races with AI that could use custom liveries.
