Hello, We showed this to Marcel in a VEC server in about October 2017 - we assumed it might have had to have been from the URD mod - appears it is not so. Noting that Josh & I are both in Adelaide, Australia. So Test 1 today on the VEC Estorial practice server. S397 Porsche GTE as per VEC. Ping around 330 for both of us. 1 - Shane drove - damaged the car.... Handed the car to Josh without repair - when handing the car to Josh the damage was better for Josh. Josh handed the car back to Shane without doing repairs and the car was worse than how i first handed it over to Josh. So Test 2 today on the VEC practice server Estorial . S397 Porsche GTE as per VEC. Ping around 330 for both of us. 1 - Josh drove the car - damaged it - didn't repair. Handed the car to Shane without repair - when handing the car to Shane the damage was worse for Shane. Shane handed the car back to Josh - no repairs. Car was better for Josh, but worse than when he first handed over to Shane. Josh Handed the car back to Shane. Damage was the worst it has been. So Test 3 today on the S397 Sebring practice server . S397 BMW GTE Ping around 330 for both of us. 1- Josh driving - damaged the car - no repairs. Josh handed the car to Shane - damage heaps worse. Same pattern as previous 2 tests. Test 4 today on the FDG (aussie server) . S397 Audi. Ping about 40 for both of us. 1- Biggest thing that happened here was Shane driving - crashed it - no repairs - handed it to Josh car was better - Josh handed the car to Shane - car was better again - we did about 4 or 5 driver swaps and each time the car progressively repaired itself without repairing any of the damage. Not once during the 4 sets of testing would the damage stay the same after a driver swap - it either got slightly better or worse. No sure if it has to do with server settings or because of a ping as we are so far away from the VEC ad S397 servers. The main thing for us is we don't want to be forced to be repairing damage when it's not necessary. Last round of VEC Josh had minor damage to the car from an incident, but didn't effect the car for the other 3 hours he drove it.....as for the above reasons we were forced to fix it when driver swapping to me, cost us 40 seconds. We weren't sure if the damage was going to be worse or the same. Ideally if the damage transfer was guaranteed to be the same we would not have fixed it. Hope someone can assist. Thanks.

If we are kept on aussie servers it seems to repair damage rather than make it worse, you're out of luck Bwana
Interesting stuff. Probably worth pointing out by 'damage' you mean the wheel is crooked. The damage indicator isn't changing. And there's the rub - we know so little about what the damage actually means, sometimes the wheel isn't affected, sometimes it is, sometimes light 'suspension' damage seems to have no effect, other times the car drives crooked... we can't really see what's wrong, so we can't really quantify what's changing or staying the same. Hopefully S397 can look into that stuff and work out a pattern, or reveal a bit more info in future which would help.
Yep, mainly the wheel is crooked, but we noticed that it felt like some of the suspension was further damaged , so i guess the two are working hand in hand together. The damage indicators never changed after the swaps.
Damage being different after driver swap is nothing new, it was present in rF1. A bug that has been there for nearly a decade and a half might be fixed for rFactor 6.
i've done a heap of racing, never had probs in Rf1 with this, RF2 has been good up until that point about 15 months ago.
Can concur . Havnt noticed it before since 05’.. does it vary at all with damage scenarios ie: repair all , repair body , etc
