hello, here I have a Template for the Lola T500, the download included a 3d car what can be open with 3dsimed to see how you paint https://workupload.com/file/bKPNXAKS
My thought, my hope, is that @ChiefWiggum is almost done with F1 1986. One or two cars are left I believe. I'm hoping that he will then turn his attention to this. I know a 1978 full season would be a massive under taking as there was a lot of custom/modded/one off cars. I would hope that this would spring board Chief's CART 1984 rF1 conversion
yeah, I was thinking also on a CART Mod in the 80's, but not sure what will be the best Year for this
ISI had the lisence for the March 86C. Maybe you can get in touch with S397 and see if there is a way to get some data for that car atleast. I think most teams were using that car anyway, so it might make things a bit "easier". Anyway, I am just throwing out some ideas. A great era of NA open wheel racing for sure.
Ohhhh man!! I hope you go through with this!! I don't know much about 1980s Indycar to be able to make a suggestion. The only thing that I know of for sure is the @stdave and the guys over at HSO ( http://historicsimracing.123.st/) have an amazing CART 1988 mod for rF1 and AMS (https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/hso-cart-1988-indycar-world-series.24923/). They also have a great 1973 USAC mod for rF1. That would be a great addition to the rF2 lineup. Chief, I know you are not a conversion guy. I'm not sure if you could talk to them to do a conversion or if scratch building another year would be the route you take.
what do you think about a CART 1985 Mod? Is this a good Choise? I'm not so the expert about Indycars in the 80's.
HSO has never been too interested in rF2, so I don't think there's "talking to them do a conversion". The day rF2 gets interesting for them, they'll convert.
