There is something not right with rF2 and Steam. I don't know if it is related with all rF2, or just devmode, because I always use devmode now, but very often steam thinks that rF2 is still running, when it is not, and because of that I can not open rF2 again. I wonder if it is a problem on my end, or perhaps something not right with latest steam, because I don't remember having this before, started probably a weak ago...

Another issue degrees of rotation of Thrustmaster wheel, to be exact T300. It was noticed quite a while ago that after AMS and rF2 degrees in wheel control panel does not go back to normal setting. For example, I need 1080 in certain other sims, and after playing rF2 it stays in whatever game sets it on. It is actually not hard to forget about it and have mismatching rotation in other sims, which usually makes them quite a bit worse as a result. I don't know if this is more rF2 issue, or Thrustmaster issue.

It is kind of both. This Thrustmaster issue started already a year or two ago with a firmware update from Thrustmaster, ever since then the degrees are stuck in memory after exiting rF2.

RF2 is the only sim doing this degree change. Would be nice if that could be fixed. Its very annoying

it has been fixed at the last update
now when exiting RF2 the thrustmaster control panel remembers your last manual setting and not the last car used from RF2

Only if you use the new parameters.

*And, again, that's because the driver settings are never changed. The game is doing it itself, artificially.

Will it have any downsides ? I have to try it out and see whats up. I thought the update was about something else with DD wheels.

It might not quite be as immediate as when the driver is controlling it, but you can configure how hard the stop is so that might compensate.

It's just the game stopping your wheel in accordance with the current vehicle, and using that range for lock to lock, instead of telling the wheel driver where to stop the wheel and doing the same.

The DD wheels note was because a couple are now supported.

I have the same issue with the T300.
What lines in the T 300.jason i must edit?
To make it clear,as the game does not identify my WHEEL as CONTROLLER one (joy 1),it is (joy 5),(we had that discussion earlier),i had to reasign every axis and buttons.
    Then i saved it as T300 .
    Thanx

When I tested it, I set these values:
"Steering Wheel Maximum Rotation from Driver":false,
    "Steering Wheel Software Rotation":true,
    "Steering Wheel Maximum Rotation Default":900,

Change that last line to whatever you set your wheel to in the control panel.

You may also want to raise this:
    "Steering Wheel Bump Stop Harshness":10,
as I found the default 10 a bit spongy.

With only 3 lines I'm sure even you managed to do the right ones ;) But just double check each one anyway, to make sure you edited the right ones. Because the names are similar and quite long it's easy to get confused.

I don't save my own controller files, so whenever I make changes it's to the Controller.JSON in my player folder. If you're saving to a custom file, I would load it again after making the change and see if your Controller.JSON has those changes? I'm not too sure to be honest, like I said I never use that feature. I assume the game saves the current values to the Controller.JSON, but could be wrong.

It definitely should work, because it's using FFB to do the limiting, so as long as you have a FFB wheel it will work.

As for that magic number mesfigas got clarification for elsewhere, it's just how 'hard' the stop is when you reach full lock. With the value of 10 you don't really feel when you hit full lock, but then the wheel gets heavier as you keep going. I prefer the wheel-driver style where you hit a wall of FFB when you reach full lock, so that might be 100 for that value. *(And just to be super-clear: that value won't affect the rest of your FFB)
