From Renato on Reiza forums (Nov 3rd.)
"The package from the rF2 Bundle will be delivered to S397 in the 3-week timeframe but actual public release will still be at the discretion of S397 so may take a bit longer than that depending on their schedule."

Can we at least know if Reiza has already delivered the pack to S397 by now as they said they would?

Anyone with Trustmaster T150 can confirm better handling after the new changes?
i just set the controler.json file max steering at 1080 and the same value at thrustmaster's control panel and handling never been better !!!!
its not me i m sure
i remember most of the times car wanted to slide while turning my wheel, now that thing is gone :)
please T150 users report results :)

@mesfigas It really should make zero difference. They've simply added an option for the game to do what your wheel driver could otherwise do (depending on the wheel), it should have no bearing at all on how things feel.

USF2000, F4, F3, Pro Mazda ... This sounds almost perfect, I guess it would be too much to ask for FR2.0 at this point. Many thanks guys.

@Lazza maybe the fact that i were always settled my steering wheel to Default 900 degrees and now settled to 1080 might be the explanation :) but really a lucky strike :)
Also now the Rfactor 2 dont forget to set the steering wheel degrees back to 1080 in the control panel
before patch after exiting RF2 i had always had to go to control panel and set it to default degrees
now i dont need to do that anymore :)

If you are using the alternate system they've just put in, rF2 is no longer setting your wheel rotation through the driver. That's why you don't need to adjust it later; it's never changing. The game is just stopping you rotating your wheel itself.

It's actually very simple, unfortunately they haven't clearly explained what it does (and doesn't do).

Many people should be delighted with the updated controller stuff. Still, it's not going to be easy for newcomers or those who don't bother with forums, etc., as it isn't an automatic fix for them, requires them to "do something".

This isn't limited to S397, rather it's across the simracing industry that configuration of gear is not automatic, it is not even guided. Even the simple things we take for granted, like turning off spring & damper in control panel for the wheel, have no guidance via the game installs.

@Emery Unfortunately by its nature something that works around a lack of driver support (either by the driver, or the game) has to be that manual. In the UI would be better obviously, but the user still has to tell the game what the wheel does (rotation) so that the game can get it right. Another thing we can hope will be in the fabled upcoming UI...

I m starting to feel that the change from 900 degrees to 1080 made the accuracy trick :)
haha sorry if i made people to feel confused about the new patch :)
