Yes, you can create a shortcut with different command line parameters. See this: http://thecrewchief.org/showthread.php?28-F-a-q&p=2949&viewfull=1#post2949
Thanks Iron Wolf. I use Simcomander4 with my Accuforce wheel to start the game and it also allows command line parameters. So I was able to use AMS as the command. SC4 first starts TS3 and then CC in Automobilista or RF2 mode which ever SC4 profile I select and then SC4 starts the game. I has to turn off launch AMS in CC as both SC4 and CC were trying to start the game. Also the command for Rfactor2 64BITwas RF2 in the FAQ you have it lists the command as RF2_64BIT which I could not get to work. All good now thanks.
Sorry for not getting back to you earlier, but I wasn't sure how to respond. Well, technically it is possible for rF2, but I prefer keeping CC purely a race engineer/radio communication program. And even though this train has left already somewhat, I won't be adding more to deviation, because I don't think that's right. I feel that things like DRS beeps, shift indicator beeps are part of a vehicle/game, or another tool. My team mates not always share my opinion, so you might have better luck getting feature added by posting at thecrewchief.org.
@The Iron Wolf , i have file in rf2 folder, but game did not detect that file. Look booth screenshot upthere. Thx. Maby i make a mistake with zninstalling some microsoft restr... from windows programs?
Just to clarify: Our plugin intentionally requires same runtime as rf2 does, so if game runs nothing extra is required, no extra .dll's loaded, and no extra memory is used compared to if we'd required newer MSVC runtime.
Unfortunately, this data is not exposed atm. As soon as S397 exposes that we'll add it. This falls into general category of what ISI started, but did not finish. None of data from message center is exposed.
of course, I am quite frustrated this info is not available, but I have to stay positive and remember that everything is relative. And, relatively, rF2 internals model is still hands down the best of all the games I looked at. I'd like to complete chief for rF2, but it needs above chunk of info (everything from the message center). Also, it needs static curves for tires, brakes, engine so that we can announce correct temp announcements. I started a project where I wrote a parser that reads all mods and puts this info into db, but parser is complex, especially with upgrades, decoding that on Chief's side is also fairly complicated. I realized it would be so much simpler, if S397 just exposes a few vectors, at least, for open content. I had hope this will happen and suspended above project, but's been a while and no progress here. Maybe if more people will ask S397 this will be looked at. We're so close to being done and in top notch shape, just a few pieces here and there.
Rf2: did crewchief detect night and notify with: turn the lights ON? Before im taken the black flag...
Nothing from Message Center is exposed via rF2 internals, we need S397 to expose that information for that to work.
Imagine hearing that in your earphones: "Uhmm dude, you forgot your lights - in the middle of the night".
