As the title states, I want to alter the engine power of the Norma LMP3 to make it a little bit more powerful, as this class is virtually useless in an endurance league, as you will be basically fighting the GTE's. Basically I'm asking how you would go about making the LMP3 faster. I am totally unsure on how to do this since this is official content. Thanks.
lmp3 cars do not race with other classes other than outdated Imsa Prototype challenge type cars. They are usually used as a support race to bolster the weekend schedules. If you want a faster lmp, the LMP Oreca 07 is the weapon of choice.
VEC is an online league using the GTE Endurance pack,(among others I believe) Included with that is the LMP3 Norma. If that league uses the car, then you are accepting a slower prototype that will mix in with GTE times. Of course, an endurance event is all about merging several classes of various performances. So having a slower car in the mix is not a completely unknown. Back to the original post, the user wanted to get the Norma upgraded to outperform the GTE class. Well the Oreca 07 already fulfills that purpose. Add to that, we've seen some extremely varied feedback from the newer tires. Imagine how those might hold up under a faster car.....
@neuer31 nah, that won't work. It's too basic and easy. We have to make them think they have to work for it. Multiple JSON files to change, a couple of hours in dev mode to tweak and fine tune. Then repackage it, big download update for all the participants and they find out they can only play it on their servers. That's the rFactor way!
