    If you’ve stutter, the maybe turn off Road Reflection or set Shadows to High or visible vehicles to 24... one of those should be enough to give you some overhead :)

    I forgot to ask, what do you have set in the NVidia Control Panel, if anything?

    I don't think I have anything set there. Perhaps 'Maximum Performance' or something. Sorry, I'm away from my computer today and cannot check.

    Interesting read .
    I really do believe oculus made a big mistake , there platform should have being open Vr , not the crap they have now , the future for oculus I believe is going to be limited , and better Vr headsets / software for open Vr will be more assessable for the average joe .
    IMO :)

    I tried it and got an error - as stated in the readme: it works in few games only. But maybe with further developement it will work.

    well, sort of…oculus and steam VR both running in background when playing RF2

    I can't get that to work for some reason so I am using oculus homeless to at least not load up oculus home everytime.

    Did you restart your PC? Think I fell victim to that then it worked ok.

    It would but you don’t get Virtual sound on each side oh headset ( positional audio ) it don’t bother me but until that is fixed I don’t think devs will implement it , and I’m sure it will need to be tested over time , anyway its only a dll file to replace.

    I tried it briefly and it mostly works for me but
    * the view freezes before the loading screen and only comes back when the track is loaded
    * I get occasional flashes of different views (too fast say views of what) when driving. It seems to be related to moving my head so I suspect it may be glitches in the head tracking
    * I think frame rates are improved
    I need to switch back to Steam VR to check my findings.

    Yes view freezes when loading because it needs steam Vr , something I don’t mind , I may be lucky but rF2 looks and runs better than before.

    don't forget to create a opencomposite.ini file in the same directory as the openVR_api.dll,
    you can set the pixel density to your liking and some other stuff, like disabling the rifts headphones.

    enableAudio=off
    supersampleRatio=1.4

    I have replaced the openvr_api.dll on rfactor 2 directory, but steamVR still starts, any help on this please??
