Missing the original skin Too much Orange, at least here Cockpit problem in showroom http://www.grandprixhistory.org/mclar23.htm
Tobacco sponsors aren't going to fly in today's world, so I suspect the red leaning toward orange may be a way to avoid that? Fortunately we have templates and the community can probably whip up the real skins. Note how "McLaren" is used in place of the tobacco sponsor. The windshield in the showroom? Yes, definitely something wrong.
You're linking to a different version of the car (without air box) This car has run for several years, with different shapes and liveries. I think we have the early 1976 version: http://www.racingsportscars.com/type/photo/McLaren/M23.html?cat=2&page=3
Thanks for the info I wasnt sure about the year of this m23. The page i linked i thought has all models Btw, they should tell which year is this m23 (unless they already told and didnt saw it)
i found that: https://speedsport.com/media/photos...hment/1975-mclaren-m23-driven-by-jochen-mass/ edit: (this should be a mistake, i dont think its is a McLaren 1975) Now i got to see @Postipate 1975 mod and compare. Just hoping this dont lead to another workshop takedown because as i remember, Postipate f1 mod feels better than this
one more to make sure https://www.ultimatecarpage.com/chassis/1941/McLaren-M23-Cosworth-M23-9.html Chassis: M23-9 A new car built for the 1975 season, chassis M23-9 was campaigned throughout the year by defending champion Emerson Fittipaldi. He started off his title defence well with a debut victory in the Argentinean Grand Prix. Later in the year, he also won at Silverstone, while he also finished second in Brazil and Monaco. At the start of the 1976 season, it was used by James Hunt to score wins in the non-championship Race of Champions at Brands Hatch and the International Trophy at Silverstone. For the remainder of the season, this M23 was campaigned by his team-mate Jochen Mass. Now in American ownership, M23-9 has been restored to its early 1976 configuration and accordingly features an all-orange airbox. https://public.fotki.com/BrianVenable/wip/tamiya-112-mclaren-/oscoop2.html https://www.flickr.com/photos/26807139@N04/19555730523 Its supposed to be Orange. As you can see in this site, M23-9 was only model with Orange air intake https://www.ultimatecarpage.com/cg/330/McLaren-M23-Cosworth.html
This fórum: bug report I found the weird Orange color Some explain that could be related to tobbacco advertising Some explain it was early 1976 models I reasearched and confirm the color Orange and the model specifically What im nitpicking?
You posted your last pictures with no comment. People don't know if you're showing they're the same, or different (the colours in the images appear different). If you explain what you're showing (that they're the same) people will understand.
Yes, lets supose i didnt like Emery possible explanation to the orange colour, appreciate and thank to Lennipen post with more info and posted this in previous post of these images so you and the other two have a point
@Louis You posted the pictures nearly an hour later. You could have changed your mind. I'm only telling you why you were misunderstood. Up to you if you choose to take it on board.
