Hello! I created a new advertising object on the track. This object is curved and requires the texture to follow the curvature. I created in AutoCAD and exported as FBX. Maybe 3ds Max has more features. How do I solve this?
You can search for a max script called uv strip straightener, it makes a menu item in the unwrap window, and does it easily.
In some cases 3ds Max separates the texture by polygons and in other cases it does not. When separated by polygons, it's difficult to have the texture with uniform size. How do I solve this?
I could not use it. I do not know if it's incompatibility because it is 2011 or if it's lack of practice.
You could try spline mapping. Create a spline out of one of the horizontal edges, then select spline map in the unrwap uvw options. Then you can use the tools to straighten it out, but it should all be even.
I was creating objects taking advantage of imported model rows, so the problem. When I create objects from scratch, this does not happen. Coutie, thanks for help
I updated this track in 2018 and everything was working fine. But with the latest rF2 updates I'm having some problems. On some advertising boards is appearing the object behind. These boards are configured with Decal True. I tried move farther away from the object behind almost 3 times the current distance and the defect still appears in some cases. Another problem is that I can't get out of the garage driving the car, I have to use AI.
I solved part of the problems. On the advertising boards, I configured Decal False and works fine. As for the car that doesn't come out of the garage when accelerating, I don't have a solution yet.
