Hi guys, I just found that the Skip Barber available in the "Dev Mode" is not the same available on the Steam workshop, but otherwise seems to be updated with: - new helmet - new rf2 logo at the top of the car. I'm trying to use that version in the "default" version of the game, but I still didn't made it :-( Up to now I tried to paste the vehicles/SkipBarber folder from dev mode to the "installed" folder of the standard game (butcher mode, I know ). Obviously it didn't worked Perhaps I've to create a new .rfcmp? Can someone please help me? Cheers
I agree. All official cars ISI and S397 that can be considered as "good", "very good" or "excellent" should in my opinion be updated, ideally every year or at least every 2 years (I speak essentially about physics) . At least 90% of ISI and S397 cars are concerned in my opinion. We are very far from that. I deplore it.
As far as I know, Marcel said that Skip Barber is unlikely to be updated, due to licences, that has to be updated with the constructor. The constructor ( Skip Barber Racing School ) underwent in chapter 11 bankrupt on 2017; and is now under a new property.
Physics are physics. A kilogram, a liter, and a meter are still the same. There's nothing to update for physics unless they have better data. Only new physics models, like tires, ever need an update.
