I am no PC guru either, but I followed those instruction and I was done in less tha 5 minutes

    1. Open Windows Powershell (press windows button in the bottom left corner and type in windows powershell) and use the two lines to replace the orientation speed value.
    2. enter your cars folder, below is mine. copy &paste and press enter:
    Code:
    cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\raceroom racing experience\Game\GameData\Cars"
    3. set the changes you would like to use and copy & paste the second line and press enter:

If you go on the R3E. Forum their is a thread about it.

    Works really well.
Like all these things, its subjective and advise is to try it out and see.

I do wonder sometimes when a way so easy to implement this in RaceRoom is found, why a simple tick box cant be added to enable/disable it.

Back to rF2 though, I really do hope this can be added as an option for those that prefer the camera to be locked this way.

No just open a powershell as described from the start menu and paste those 2 lines in it.
Assuming your Raceroom install is default location.

So, open a powershell from the start menu.

    Paste:

    cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\raceroom racing experience\Game\GameData\Cars"

    Press Enter.

    Paste:

    ls cockpit_driver_view.xml -rec | %{$f=$_; (gc $f.PSPath) | %{$_ -replace "0.00000000 0.00000000 0.00000000}</orientationSpeed", "1.00000000 0.00000000 1.00000000}</orientationSpeed"} | sc $f.PSPath}

    Press Enter.

    And that's it.

Can't make it any more simple than that :p

I assume just change the first line to whatever your game path is.

I would love to hear comments on the 'stabilize Horizon" new feature, I tried it on high and "my" horizon still shakes, what am I missing?

I think it means that the way it works seems counter to the explanation i.e., stabilization on "low" may actually stabilize more than "high" does. At least, some are reporting it that way - nothing official from S397 that I know of.

lol , I know what I was trying to say but now i re read what i said it doesn't make sense , it was late , lol

High seems to work like before the update , no lock, and low seems to work more the way i know LTH to work .

Thanks @RaceNut you get me when im tired ;) your right and even now ive slept your explanation make more senses than mine :)

Tested the new feature today. Seems like it only works on monitor as expected, but not in VR.
Therefore i've created a bugreport right now -> click

It does work in VR as I was using it tonight at Sebring on the Live Server, do a Verify Files of RF2 and check again.

It works only on low. On High there is no effect in vr.

Thanks for the hint. I verified my rF2 files and there was 1 file, which has to be renewed. And with every rF2 update i always delete the "Shaders" and "CBash" folder, just to make sure.

However .... "Stabilize horizon" still don't work in VR as expected. There is a noticible effect on "low", but "high" is almost like "off".
