Yeah, hopefully I'll be able to do an update for LGC before next year's race :)
A running start would be a pretty wild thing to add to rF2!

I'm going to try to roll out a few promo vids before the update comes.
It's been a while since I've made any, and it will be nice to have some up-to-date vids to show to non-gamers.
So, here is the new DX11 dawn for Longford 1967 :D
Yes, it's dark. I don't want to give it all away in the first video :p

[edit] I mean, as much as i'm trying to hype it a bit here, it's still almost entirely the same track. It's mostly focused on not having the textures blowing out. Do expect a train station. Don't expect an animated train, or 3D trees and bushes, etc :)

Great to see one of my favorite tracks reaching final release, thank you, woochoo :).
By the way, have you baked shadows of the trackside objects (crowds, buildings, trees, fences, etc) into the terrain surface? Was just thinking it would help blend the objects into the ground and improve immersion even more.

Thanks, and i appreciate the technical question.
I could say that there is AO baked into both the terrain material and the terrain geometry, but i won't say if that's true, and perhaps it will be easier to see in upcoming non-twilight videos :)

Woochoo could have hand drawn this track on the back of a dirty napkin and I'd still drive it. Thank you for updating a place that everyone should become familiar with. Never had anything less than fun and excitement on Longford.

    June 18th edit:
Last night I drove here in a dream. I was alone just practicing. At night and could see everything. Damn You Woochoo and I mean that with high fives, thumbs up and smiles.

These spectators are damn hard. No-one of them is having an umbrella.
    The video looks very promising.
Can't wait to test your beautiful work.
