These cars are really fun to drive, but please bring us some 70s and late 60s tracks to drive with these cars. For example Curcuit de Charade, Watkins Glen and Montjuïc.

Yes, but we still have historic 1967 track for Spa, Monza (with banks!) and Monaco. which are really very well made historic tracks.
I don't know how many changes these track had in these 8 years between though.

The tracks changed alot from the 60s to the 70s due to people like Jacky Steward. Most of them got guard rails and in the case of Monza there were chicanes added. Monaco was relatively close to the style that it had until they got rid of the fast chicanes. So it was basicly the same layout from the 70s throughout the 80s.

Btw, got a little thing that I would like to see changed. In rain conditions the rear light doesn't work for the Brabham. Haven't tested the march yet, but it would add a nice touch and actually be usefull:

Little edit for some little thoughts on details for rain conditions in general: might it be possible in the future to add a wet shader to the tires? And can spray be added to the front tires aswell?

    Very different.

    Spa: not on the calendar
Monza: 2 chicanes, guard rails, environment more "packed"
Monaco: Rascasse, no jump, guard rails, curbs, a lot more track workers, massive ads (like today) environment more "packed" and more like the races in the late 80's

The car obviously HAS a physical rain light, but did they even use rainlights back in the early 70's? Just curious.

    Thanks for the great cars.
Is anyone else getting low frame rates with them?

    1440p - GTX 970 - 6700K
    Silverstone 1975 - Sunny
    Cockpit view
14 AI (same car) - player last - sitting on grid before start.

Two FPS figures for each cars are shown:
    Low player and opponent detail
    Full player and opponent detail

    Brabham BT44B 2.04 -----102 99
    March 761 1976 2.05 ----- 77 73
    March 761 1977 2.05 -----78 75

Here are three other open-wheel cars for comparison:
    Brabham BT20 1.95 ----- 124 114
    Eve F1 2.00 ----- 148 118
    Skip Barber 2013 1.54 ----- 144 139

    Thanks for your help.

The problem might be that Gigabyte X58A-UD3R has Intel® X58 chipset > PCI Express Revision 1.1

i just did a bios update (asus b350 prime) and GPU update (XFX RX 580 ) to the latest drivers and took about 10 more fps
    from 75 fps to 85
Brabham BT 20 and March has almost same amount of fps after all updates
    Windows 10 x64
    Ryzen 5 1600
    xfx RX 580 4 giga
I play everything full on game settings but i have set Multisampling of GPU settings from video card
thats all even at rain i have easy 50 FPS or more with 14 AI near me

Yes, these cars seems to have overall less FPS reading your data (maybe because more detail?). But is it really that critical, after all you always are higher than 60 FPS. When I raced with single screen few years ago and I was above 60 FPS I was done. Of course more FPS is always better, but if you want to be a lot higher with FPS you might have to sacrifice some graphics settings. You have to ask yourself too, should somebody with an 1080Ti and every graphics setting on highest get 200 FPS? lowering settings get 400 FPS? well scaling graphics settings probably is not that easy either.

Thank you for these great cars!

The mirrors on the March are not independently adjustable. The mirrors on the Brabham work fine.

I guess the light was there for a reason, though I am just not sure if it was mandatory. But it is indeed an interesting question.

Ari Antero - Sorry, I had forgotten to update my signature.
    Thanks for your reply.

I'll try the settings shown in your other post (#31).

Sorry - I didn't make my post clear.
I wasn't asking for technical help to improve my FPS - Thanks to those who replied.
I just wondered why the two new cars have significantly lower FPS than the other cars listed.
I'm hoping that future car updates will improve the frame rates to make them easier to run in the rain.

Is the FFB on the March really light for anyone else? It's almost half of any other car for me. The Brabham is fine.

Yes it is , also seems a tad basic by Rfactor 2’s standard ( which is very high )

I think ffb updates must be coming,
This is why I’ve not spent much time with these sim cars , I’m waiting until completed & officsl release etc

Very happy they are coming to rfactor2 as they really are my kind of sim car

@Adrianstealth I don't understand how a car's FFB can be more 'basic'. All the cars have a modelled suspension and steering arm/column setup, the tyres and track interact with the physics code and produce forces on the steering column, that then gets scaled according to car parameters, and that's it. There's nothing to be included or excluded or enhanced.

It might just be a case of weaker forces not feeling as good, same as listening to a sound system at higher volume will make it sound better.
