    the last days I play only rfactor 2 in VR.. after ry every sim the last year...VR is new for me and I love it!! But........ it is possible when I play on my rift to see this on my screen. My screen is always black if I doing some practise laps in rfactor2.

    it would be nice if I also see something on my screen to set things that is easier without glasses.

    Is there a setting for?

    Manny thx!

    I think you need to Set "HDM + Mirror" instead of "HDM only" in the Graphics setup of rFactor2 (Something like that I have not my game under my eyes :) )

    Is that right ?

    Mine is set to HMD only
    Is it better to have the mirror displayed too ?

    @MaD_King is correct.
    In the Launcher, go to 'Settings' and click 'Video Settings'.
    Under 'VR:' choose 'HMD + Mirror'.

    You mean 'HMD Only'. Mirror is good if you want to have it on your monitor - or you want to record.

    it's not going to be better, but having the HMD + mirror will allow you to record, see your monitor when you lift the rift, or allow friends you have round to see what a great racer you are (or not in my case...)

    as mentioned above there may be performance issues if you are rendering the game to monitor as well as to your HMD. Another well known sim ending in 2 displays on the monitor& HMD by default and I don't notice any performance difference on that.

    I use my Rift always with a mirror on the monitor. From the tests I've done, I have no loss of performance. It helps me a lot , because during training in summer, I pull the oculus up and leave it on top of my head. So I can adjust my setup and talk in the chat by looking at the monitor.

    IIRC, mirroring of VR to the monitor(s) is done through graphics memory so it doesn't produce any significant additional processing load on the GPU / CPU as long as everything is working as it should.
