    Hello !

I have a big problem that appeared overnight. RFactor 2 no longer detects my steering wheel (Logitech G25). I have already done a clean installation of the game and my drivers. Any idea ? I have no problem with iRacing.

    Thank's ..

I'm guessing you have win 10 and an update. A few updates ago, my G25 was ID'd as a DrivingForce Pro or something, screwing all the mapping up.

The easiest solution for me was to reinstall the logitech manager software, then all came back fine. You might have to reset some of the mappings on your wheel.

Check in W10 Device Manager, under USB devices, if the are correctly recognised.
Last updates have caused many problems with USB devices (G27, USB3 ports, etc.), some of them have been solved by further W10 updates, but the situation remains unstable on this front.

Didn't have to install again wheel controller or RF2 in my case.

    Cheers.

I own a T500 rs. I'm using a standard keyboard. My wheel is on the most recent drivers/software and rFactor 2 can't recognize my controller. BUT iRacing is working just fine :/ All controls function perfectly from the control panel. Why is this happening?

How did you detect/solve the conflict?

I'm in the same boat. Looks like the default settings for my G920 Logitech are coming up as a joy stick and keyboard. Any help

Are you sure you don't have more than 4 controllers? That's the limit for rFactor 2, it won't recognise controllers that were inserted after the 4th.

    I.e.
    - Keyboard
    - Gamepad
    - G920
    - Clubsport Pedals
    - Separate Shifter

One of these things aren't gonna be recognised.

EDIT: I see the limit has been upped to 6 now.

Only controllers listed in the Windows Game Controllers utility are counted towards the controller limit.
Keyboards are not one of them.

Just an off topic observation, I am always surprised at the amount of times I read that the first thing people do to try and fix a game is to uninstall it, re-download it and install it again, resulting in achieving nothing but wasting time.
As I said, just an observation. ;)

Right. I don't think this alters my point in any way, though. ;)

For the G920 the shifter and the pedals plug into the wheel and one usb cable goes to the computer.

All I have connected is the G920 and a wireless keyboard/mouse combo.

the wireless mouse and keyboard combo were causing the conflict. Now to get the settings right for actual driving

Good to hear you sorted it.
Out of interest Jason, did you click the "detect" button in the controller screen when you first tried to set your wheel up?
I, and I'm sure others, would like to know the nature of the conflict and your fix.
I don't understand how your mouse and keyboard stopped the wheel working.

I did click detect and it would detect it but none of the controls would work. I am running off of a laptop so i just used the mouse and key board on the laptop to setup the game. A bit of a PITA getting in and out of my racing seat every time I needed to make a change but at least I got the steering wheel working. Trying to get the settings right and the force feed back to work...thats for a different thread.

    Hi there,
my OSW (Mmos controller) is also not detected. I don´t know why. Shifter, buttons on wheel plate, HE pedals are detected. But steer left or steer right doesn´t work.

    Does anyone have an idea?

@Euster, i see you have HE pedals so probably you also have DIview to calibrate them. Use DIview and see if your osw can be seen there, of so click calibrate but don't change values in the calibration screen. Then save and try again if rF2 works now

From my experience, there are a few reasons for a game not detecting controllers:
    • The controller is not recognized by Windows
    • Outdated device drivers
    • Another device is causing a conflict; perhaps a controller, button stuck, shifter in gear, etc.

Everything is fine in DiView. Also all controllers a recognized by Windows.
It works fine with Assetto Corsa.
