Zandvoort look "old" as hell to me.. the textures, color, meh many rF2 tracks make it look like GTR2 with higher res stuff, Zandvoort has that feeling in a higher scale, again to me.
I thought they'd redo it with NOLA quality, but they are just changing a few things here and there

I haven’t turned any laps on Nola to see the difference, but I stand by what I say,Zandvoort looks better than the tracks on iracing which is the only other sim I’ve really used, iracing just had that “simpsons” colour palette imho.

This is with my hardware and most importantly my ageing eyes lol
So of course I could be very wrong

Rfactor2’s track quality is generally quite poor imo ,
this is why I think I have always leaned to the historic tracks
-official historic ones are the exception & fairly good quality
    (best in sim racing imo)

    Kartsim tracks are decent ,
Track Surface seems low detail but then before I know they could have all had a professional resurface recently??

Those curb sounds in this vid sound brill ! :

Do we in rfactor2 get a generic “canned” sound ??
Surely the laser scanner picks up the curb shape & tooth height & the sims physics should react accordantly

must admit, racing rf2 the other day with a few cars the racing is fine (ai need the draft issue fixed) but the main thing for me is the lack of interesting tracks oh my!!!!!! Yeah rf2 really lacks in this dept and makes it hard to pick up and race the title... We need some main stream tracks like zolder etc etc.

NOLA is, to me, a level above everything that has been released to rFactor 2, they need to make a way to put that quality into mods and even official content (like Portugal, that thing needs to be redone). But even NOLA still looks "old school gmotor graphics", would be better if they moved away from that, I thought they would do when they talked about new shaders, but looks like the new is still old looks with improvements, like AMS.

depending on the time and the sun it's either dull or flashy...like the other tracks...
it's good for the replay or for screenshots

    If brill solid FPS/low latency
& lasered detailed track surface anyday

Night lighting is actually getting quite good in rfactor2 now

Adrian, I have the opposite impression.

But Kartsim tracks are crypted, so I can't compare with Atlanta/Genk with 3DSIM for example.

I need to have a go round the other tracks in the X30. Genk is pretty fun though.

Definitely the 'easiest' of the three. Glan y Gors is probably my favourite. Maybe because it has that rustic British club track feel to it. You start in a barn! XD

With pretty much karting expirience from former days, I must say, this is really great! Exactly the same feeling I remember!
Did a 39,1XX at Buckmore Park after only 3h training, with only little room for improvement....

(AI is a bit slow, I put it to 113%)

    Thank you S397!

Gess I will purchase the Kartsim Pro Software. The mod is worth the money anyhow....

P.S. An indoor track would be nice...

I got into the low 39's too, but with practice chunks can come off that IMO

Physics yes, sounds no. This would be massively complicated to generate in realtime. However, the current system could probably be a little more flexible so the results are consistently good.
