    S397 can you please fix the sun while its rain ?
    i mean if you play Nolla with rain at about 8.30 at the afternoon when sun is about o go down you ll notice that the whole scenery seems like a sunny day which has rain.
    like eating a hot icecream or something.
    please take a look and you ll see what i mean.
    rain = muddy weather.
    sun cannot be bright like its a sunny day.
    Also the rain is like spamming white lines it almost block my view and makes it less clear that is suppose to be in real life
    Please Tune it.
    Thanks :).

    Right, @UsedMomo. I have a very early generation 1920x1200 screen and its nearly 10 years old now. According to the Steam hardware survey, about 76% of gamers there run standard HD 1920x1080; only 0.5% run 4K and 3.5% run 1440p; and you are part of maybe 15% who run less then HD resolution. Over 90% have a DX12-capable graphics card on Win7 or Win10 which would suggest their hardware can support better screens and higher resolutions. But people aren't buying them; this includes the 'cheaper' 4K screens. Most people have a tendency to hold onto their monitors for far longer than the main PC. I'm in that boat myself; seems silly to buy a 10 series NVidia or Vega and then pair it up with a 1080p screen, doesn't it? I really don't want to buy a 1440p screen and there is little point in upgrading to a high-refresh rate 1080p screen either at this stage. Only 0.27% of Steam users currently run VR HMDs (I suspect it's a higher percentage for our particular simracing niche). Gamers are kind of stuck in a watershed at the moment until cheaper, higher capability 4K screens become the norm. Almost nobody buys a lesser than 4K TV now (yes, I'm a luddite with a plasma HD screen there too), the low-end ones are very cheap and selling like hot cakes, so pretty soon these manufacturers have to up the quality and then we will benefit when they come after our market. Consoles now will just about run 4K on those cheaper TVs.

    I've got a suspicion that rF2 users actually have older hardware and software than most simracers; I think those with iRacing, AC and PC2 generally run newer stuff. iRacing only pulled the plug on DX9 when about 85% of their community were shown to have the necessary capability. As S397 roll out graphics that push machines harder, a lot of users are going to have to upgrade or be left behind and I suspect the DX11 transition has already caused a lot of that. They have to push forward, though. I mean, if UE4 has all that great graphics, you can't run it on a potato system so Kunos and Sector3/Simbin must be confident there are enough people out there with good enough hardware to run their next-gen games or willing to upgrade.

    Depending on position of sun and clouds, you can have both rain and sunshine, But on that note, they better add some rainbow too :p

    True HDR == 10 bit color.
    This got to make people laugh for a while.
    Also full HD == 720p with crappy low bitrate youtube level encoding.

    lol guys ..... I'm not the only one to "die of impatience" (french expression).

    In fact S397 has worked enormously this year and a half ..... but for the moment many things are not yet concetized, but I understand that.

    @Marcel Offermans
    It would be nice to have some news about the elements of realism (physics or other), just a little wish guys.

    Just be careful not to confuse 'roadmap' with 'new build'. They are different things.

    I feel your pain, but the wait will be worth it.

    In the meantime I bought KartSim to hold me over :)

    We are in the final stages of testing for those performance updates. There are still a few bugs we need to fix though. Bear with us... :)

    Strongly better. Strongly.

    Real track data and real kart data is just theory ??

    In practice, all I thought about the absolute necessity of associating real circuit data (laser) and real car data in a real 2018 simulator is totally confirmed.

    The circuit graphics are almost the best of RF2 (attention of details).

    The sounds are very good. A must have.
