I wish we had one (or two) rally tracks on asphalt. These tracks are incredible so that the driving is "challenging", allows to improve, and simply for the pleasure. This kind of tracks would be perfectly usable by 85% of the cars available on RF2 (depend of the track chosen), unless the road is extremely bumpy. But what am I referring to? Look at a good example : https://youtu.be/obxe4EuSaUE In addition, a long track is preferable, that's why the Pikes Pike, although very well and popular, would not be ideal (less than 20 km / no more turns than the Nordschleife). I think we should allow using a "virtual traffic roundabout (circle)" to make the track upside down : because if the track is 40 km and 800 turns, it is 40 km and 800 totally different turns there would have to go in totally different driving situations. Moreover, the turns would be mostly very different than the ~ 70 circuits that we already have on RF2. I think it's good to think RF2 by "what would be cleverly complementary to existing content". -------------------------------------------------- PS : I'm not sure that S397 can have the rights easily, but there is the Targa Florio, which is not a track as I indicated above, but which is extremely interesting (72 km + hundreds and hundreds of turns) : I think that the work that there would be to do on it would not be huge to get a good result, and no one would expect a result as good as a track made 100% by S397. Just an idea.
Yes, you have a lot of wishes. Even guys from Gran Turismo and Forza, with the money and amount of people they have, wouldn't be able to keep up with all your wishes.
This part of the forum is made for that. I do not care what you think. I help you: there is a function in the forum to no longer see the messages of people you do not like: smarter (less stupid) and more mature. That does not interest you? Just do not read, and shut up.
As far as mods go there is 'transfargassan' and 'mountain forest' which are both really enjoyable to drive on. Transfargassan is super fun and is basically one long hill climb stage.
What I would like to see is something : - Either in the philosophy of "Targa Florio", with the possibility of doing the circuit upside down as Toban. - In the philosophy of "Roque de los Muchachos". The big problem of "Roque ..." is that it is ultra bumpy. Perfect for serial cars ... but that's about it. This is the most bumpy track of RF2. I highly recommend these 2 tracks by the way .....
its a new physics world it would be really nice to have Rally iracing has rally and i play there sometimes could you imagine Rally from ISI-S397
Agree, but what I was talking about is "asphalt/tarmac" only. For gravel/snow etc... we can dream lol. Only dream I think ! And that means doing a lot of work in unexplored areas of the physics / physics of the track / realroad.
Why would Pikes Peak not be ideal? One mistake meaning you fall thousands of feet to your fiery death; what's not to love? Plus 12miles (20k) is Walsall, where I live, to Birmingham. And if you've ever tried to drive that route, it's probably more challenging than pikes peak and the Nords XD
More turns/km and more turns is better for me. A 40-45 km asphalt rally track is better for me, because there is more different piloting situations and it is not only 100% UP or 100% Down. But like I said I like the Pikes Peak of course. Try the "roque de los muchachos" (or Targa Florio), in rf2, that is what I want. It's this kind of tracks i'm looking for, where driving situations are really different and complementary to 99% of what we have already on rf2. Have you looked at the video also that I have put in the first post : I guess you would like to 44 km (88 km go back) of this track : a result of 1 turn/80 meter, this is approximately 1100 turns totally different .... I find this exciting. It's too bad (so far) s397 + 99.9% of modders are not interested at this kind of tracks (apart from @Goibaka withTransfagarasan road). Because circuits on rf2, and even more of layouts, there has a quantity huge on rf2 (In international sim racing + steam for example). rf2 deserves tracks more complementary I think.
There are a couple of Hillclimb tracks for rf2 but they are not DX11 iirc. Unfortunally the league that used to run them shut down but using the Wayback machine you can go to the download section and still i download them https://web.archive.org/web/2016122...mb.com:80/rfactor-2-hill-climb-rally-courses/ (at least last time i checked)
Here http://downloads.xtremefactor.es/en/descargas/viewcategory/82-tramos-de-rally.html http://downloads.xtremefactor.es/en/descargas/viewcategory/111-circuitos-rallycross.html Going to try and find more (btw i haven't tested them yet)
There is a horrible version of Pikes Peak on Race Department. It is so bad, that there is nothing as bad to compare it to. Edit: All the Pikes Peaks that are linked here (one xtremefactor and the wayback version of virtual hillclimb) are the same as that RC version. And this is not the only track with over lap.
