Oh unfortunately I've never played these sims, but heard good options about them.

I've read AC can be good for drifting, but I find it hard to do, even with drift cars. Maybe it's some setup/ configuration issue.

I can better drift in rFactor2 because the cars are more directly and precisely. Assetto is is like a sponge for me, it feels like the tyres heep the line but are stretchend sideways for 50 inches. The border between grip and slip is not clear defined

I think rf2 would be great for drifting if it had more driftable cars. Partly that's the reason i think it doesn't make sense to stop the making of streetcars. Panoz is great and makes me wonder how fun would some proper supercars be in rf2. Especially with the latest tire model.

Isn't 2012 Corvette ZR1 proper supercar and nobody uses it?

ZR1's quite easy to get the back end out.

True. Atleast power vise it's proper supercar. I have often been moaning about wanting more super/streetcars for rf2 and then ZR1 has been brought up. For some reason even i don't seem to drive that car very often :s Have to try it again tonight.

That’s interesting, because in the last 1-2 years both sims became more like AC feeling wise. I wonder why.
And yes, I own all three sims, and enjoy them all for different reasons.

Its really nice to feel the hand of the car engineer using a game engine.
Heusinkveld says there will always be a component of personality when using the models.
The strange thing in his case for me is that he doesnt drive anything for reasearch. Aris drives a lot. And then a real driver and simmer feels that Niels work is a little bit better. And all that working with the previous versions of ISIs engine.
    The guy is a legend.

    Guys guys guys.

    You like to drift....?

The best of the best RF2 car to drift WITH GOOD physics is the C6 ZR1. I said ZR1, not other C6.

    Best combo = "Dallas Karting Complex" + C6 ZR1

Don't use NSX, not enough powerfull + too neutra dynamic. Perhaps Panoz but with wet road.

I recommand to deactivate for drifting "wear tyre" and "mecanical wear".

You can put the track green.

I really have a problem understanding your post.
Do you mean Aris, although driving many cars he is doing physics for, is a crook or just incompetent?

    Big NO.
The real life driver and simmer in the video posted here says AMS and RF2 feel a little bit better for him.
He praises AC too in the video.

And thus my comment about how Niels does miracles with:
    An older engine
No reasearch driving the real thing

Let’s team up Geoff Crammond (if anybody can find him), Aris and Niels to do the next big step in simracing.

I forgot something. Renato Simioni does the physics too for Reiza.
    His hand is there too.
Niels once said that he feels honored that Simioni would want him to make the cars when Renato could very well do it himself.

Im pretty sure theyre all together at this exact moment in a bar somewhere.
Stefano said in an interview that he almost worked for ISI so probably he knows Groening and Borda.
Niels and Aris are friends. And before the two had made mods with the ISI engine, the guys from Slightly Mad were already making GTRs with the ISI engine.

Last week a guy gave a link right here in the forum about that discussion.
Stefano repeats what you said about people telling him they feel other games are becoming more similar to AC and that there is no discussion:
no one really knows if what theyre doing is right because of the impossibility of them measuring some things from the tyres.
Of course on this side of the pond we feel that AC is becoming more similar to RF2.

That’s not a valid observation, because AC was the first to get rid of that “the more slidey ,the more realistic” approach. It was first introduced by Kunos!
