Hi all, i have a probleme with rf2 in 1440p In 2560x1440 rf2 wont start ( rfactor 2 has stopped working ) I don't have this probleme in other definition I already uninstall and reinstall rfactor 2 times. Before reinstalling rf2 it worked very well in 1440p under dx9 Someone has a solution or idea ?
Try to install latest runtimes from Microsoft : https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads Worked for me.
There is my 3 week pain, so sorry for You. https://forum.studio-397.com/index....solutiorfactor-2-worked-fine-for-years.58568/
It sounds like a graphics issue, so try completely uninstalling (using DDU) and reinstalling your graphics drivers. And make sure you have the latest.
You may could check, if the rF2 vid config is set to auto or to your dedicated GPU //Edit: have you tried to set your desired resolution into the Config_DX11.ini? Code: CustomVidRes=(0, 0)
yes I entered the resolution in the file Config_DX11.ini. I set in CustomVidRes = (2560, 1440) but when I'm in the game and go in the graphics options I can't find the resolution 2560 * 1440 but only the maximum resolution available 1920 * 1080 I tried again with DX9 and I dont have the problem
Don't edit the file. Use video settings from the launcher configuration tab (gear icon). Check Juergen's post and follow it carefully.
Aw...hopefully he dont got my post as advise to change the values..it was more meant, to dont use it. Thats, why i leaved the entries to 0,0... @jeantallu as Spaskis wrote, change the resolution with the vid conf tool.
I just installed rf2 and am having video questions. I'm running a gaming monitor @ 2560x1080 on the desktop. In rf2, it will not run in 2048x864 when selected. It will run 1920x1080, but the sides have black background. I guess rf2 will not run full screen?
I'm running fullscreen @ 2560 x 1440. on a 27in screen @ 144hz. When rF2 first launches you arrive at the brown screen with several icons decending from the upper left side of the screen. Choose the icon that looks like a gear, then choose the video settings. ONE of rF2's niggling issues is that your video settings don't always stay saved. Make sure your card and resolution are displayed and NOT a video card option listed as AUTO. I have gotten into the habit of doing this EVERY FREAKIN' time I load rF2. It will list my card correctly for weeks, and then it will drop back to the auto which cannot display my screen size. Also make sure the FULLSCREEN option is checked and that your proper screen rez speed is correct as well. All in that video settings box. One Note: Niggling problem #2. This video settings box lists your windows installation near the bottom. It rarely presents the correct version number. Mine says windows 8 when I have Win 10. That does NOT seem to cause any problems. Ignore that, don't panic etc.
