Press T. You might need to rebuild the track based on one of your laps. Sometimes the automatic layout does not work well.
T didn't do anything. I did go to tools and chose "track editor" and then "generate lap" (based on GPS data) after which, well, my already created graph didn't show any changes, if indeed it should have. Will keep it in mind though should I rtun into any trouble.
Are you using motec? What do you mean graph? Graphs showing values font change because of this. It is a channel vs time (or distance) graph in most of the times. T enables track window where the track is supposed to appear.
T does bring up a track window, though it's floating and sometimes doesn't appear in a visible spot. V will bring up a channel list on the right and a track display below that list; I find that convenient enough for checking track position etc.
Have been using the MoTec program for a while and have an issue that am hoping you guys can help with. In the tyres channel, I only seem to be able to get info for the front tyres. Have just downloaded Lazza's DAMPplugin and still have no rear tyre temps. Am I missing something somewhere? Thanks
Right-click the graph in question, go to properties, and you can remove any 'dead' channels and add the ones you want. The rear tyres have channels that correspond to the front tyre ones. The default project just has a single temp for the rears instead of 3 separate temps. Your other option is to use the Tools -> Maths dialog to create new channels, averaging the surface temps to get your own single temperature figure for each tyre and name it so that it works with the standard name. The options are endless!
The use of the plugin shows me a few things, one should know how big the delta between inner and outer tyre temperature is. One would have to know whether one should orientate oneself on the surface temperature or rather on the internal temperature. What is the optimum pressure, etc.? This makes it really difficult to interpret and work with data correctly.
A teammate sent me his telemetry file but i can't open it as the file is a "standard logging" type. My other teammates, as well as me, get the "pro logging" file. What's the reason behind this difference? We obviously have the same plugin and same motec version.
The plugin should only produce 'pro' files. Is this just one file, and could it be incomplete (game crash etc), or does it happen every time?
It happens every time. He is the only one with this problem and none of my teammates can open his file. Funny thing is he can open it.
Little update: he sees it as pro logging on his PC, but when he send it to us it becomes std logging.
It would seem that the software he is using is altering the files. Is he using the same motec i2 Software?
I If he sends you the files before opening them does the problem still occur? Have you checked their ini file to see if he has something odd?
I think one of my teammates checked his ini file and he said it was identical, so i'm afraid that's not the problem. Regarding the first question, he see his files as pro logging before and after he opens them. The problem is that when he send the file to us, we receive a std logging file.
