OP said the problem is caused by having AI on track, these only happens if you drive the car yourself, letting the AI drive will not show it ;)

I did drive myself and it was fine sorry forgot to mention that, I let the AI run some more then took the screenshot so yeah maybe the results are different when I'm driving, will do that next.
Edit: either way when I'm driving I have no issues

No surprise, the guy is just one more victim of rF2 randomness. If you aren't, rejoice while you can lol sooner or later it's your time :D

How can there be any CPU usage at all I wonder when no AA is used, GPU load is 23, Vir Mem RF2:5491, RAMRF2:3503 and Avg: 29,5 fps?
Perhaps you should give something to work with to your CPU ;)

Yes i5 4690 should run just fine with rF2. I think he has some issue which is not related to rF2. :)

    1. I think that people who are suffering with too high CPU loads should use app like CPU core parking manager:
    http://coderbag.com/Programming-C/CPU-core-parking-manager-v3
    2. Open Windows Command Prompt with admin rights. It's called "Command Prompt (Admin) > Type : winsat formal -restart clean , press enter on your keyboard. Give it a few minutes to do it's thing. Once done, close the window by typing exit and restart your PC.

@MarcG @patchedupdemon thanks for the attention,

First i deactivated the services that are using cpu, based on resource monitor.
    - COM+ Event System
    - Qualcomm Atheros Killer Service

The number of freezing times has decreased, but i still have some, because rFactor2 continues to use more than 75% of the processing.

After that i tried your suggestions: "Use Threads: false, No shadows, Auto fps off" = No gains.

@Ari Antero All cores are been used.

@patchedupdemon Formula Renault 3.5 was "the solution". Thanks. 5 laps race, 20 AI, smooth.

So, my conclusion: I don't know exactly which cars has updated physics, but the only thing i can imagine is that GT500 has a much more complex physics than the FR 3.5.

May I ask if you test both cars on the same circuit? Official or 3rd party?

@ebeninca All cores may be used but it is not sure they are 100% in use. To make it sure download and use CPU core parking manager it takes only 1 min. of your time :)

This 'may' add to the discussion of whether a closed cockpit is a larger resource hog than an open wheel. You got better results when using the Formula Renault, what car did you previously report numbers for?

Well, not sure if this counts into that, but the car paints of the GT500 are 4 x larger than the one`s from the FR3.5...

Yes, closed cockpits need more resources.
FR3.5 is one the best official cars regarding fps.
In my system it has double the fps comparing to radical gt3.
    Only 9 AI

Right...back in the room, 29 AI @ Silverstone GP, High settings, 2xAA.

No idea why my FPS was so low earlier but ether way it's fine now even in the Rain (nb: this is flat screen, Rain is too demanding for VR on my system)

Edit: for reference I drove but switched to AI so then I could take a screenshot, I don't know why...!

Thank you Ari, you solved my problem, 42 AI cars (Nissan GT500), running smooth, around 35% processor usage!!! Unbelievable!!!!
