I'm sorry but, if you are referring to the rFactor2 Weather Tool, this is not correct. We continue using the WeatherControlPlugin_x64.dll, with the WeatherServer.exe, and the Weather Underground key; in our servers without problems. We don't use the radar part (never have used).
I am referring to plugin and running it with rF2 client, not server. In my case it crashes the game at startup. Yes, I am aware it still works with dedicated server, you are correct on this. Does plugin work for you with a client rF2? Maybe there's setting I can use to avoid crash? I had radar off I believe. This was most important plugin for me and I really miss it.
Ah! I understand. No i've never used in a client. I use it in our servers, and only to config the weather. Never have used the radar part.
Hello guys... We are using this plugin to a F1 League and we have this problem. When the rain begins to fall, and even when we go to pits and change tyres the rainlight doesn't blink like it should.I tested it with a script weather at offline and the rainlight works properly with a scripted weather...Is it because of the many time to do the update? (180 seconds),because of the smoothing (170 seconds) or it's something else? Bare in mind that we have yet another problem. The parc ferme holds even if it's raining at Qualy...It shouldn't holds (When it's rain parc ferme shouldn't stand)...
Real time plugin works fine. I think that the radar part doesn't. We continue using the plugin without problems
but you do use it on dedicated server, right? It crashes the DX11 client last time I tried. turned radar off.
Does this plugin change track grip levels depending on temperature? I ask because one of our other admins mistakenly had the weather server on real weather on our oval Bristol Motor Speedway. I noticed because my lap times were at least 2 seconds slower than they should have been. I asked him, and he said, yes, weather server is running on Bristol. Once I stopped weather server and restarted my dedi server, grip was back to normal. There is no doubt the weather plugin affected grip in this case. But how? It would be great if we could control how much grip is lost in hot weather, but I can't see a setting anywhere.
If you use this plugin the track temperature will be always 29ÂșC. This is because the rFInternalsplugin doesn't have implemented yet this feature.
Not about rubber on track. Rubber on track does not take 2 seconds off lap time. We're talking 15 seconds a lap. Now I suddenly running 17 + seconds per lap! No. Totally rubbered in drops at worst .5 seconds per lap from green.
