Glad you're up and running The crash record should still be in the Event Log, it stays between reboots, so if you would dig it up, we might fix future crashes for similar problem.
New cool feature was just added to the Crew Chief, allows you to record pace notes on a track. Check it out guys http://thecrewchief.org/showthread.php?280-Pace-notes&p=2493#post2493
Great for rally/targa driving !! On another topic rf2 crashed today for me , first run using new auto updated version of CC , only the once (1st use)but no other crashes . Only thing that had changed on system was update .1st time game has crashed in years btw . Not sure if CC related ?
Don't want to be an absolute nitpick, but my name doesn't seem to be included in the extensive list of driver names available... The name being Miles (initally hadn't realised that my name isn't displayed anywhere on this forum)
Click on link below and request your name to be added....you will have to register first if you haven't already. http://thecrewchief.org/forumdisplay.php?7-Names-and-personalisations
Just a thought on something to add: If you bin it at high speed could it be set to say something like 'That looked like a big one, are you okay?' instead of 'you've taken a bit of aero damage' or something. I dunno, just adds to the realism a bit.
Could you give more details? I am not an expert on rF2 content side of things, but I noticed sometimes vehicle gets damaged (reported via internals) riding over some parts of a track etc, so I guess some things might be content depenedent. All in all, damage reporting is the area of rF2 internals API that needs the most improvement in my opinion. Right now, I am using bunch of hacks to determine how damaged vehicle is.
Is it offline/online? All tracks/vehicles? I never had that one but maybe I am missing some bug somewhere. I need to be able to reproduce it and for that I need more details. There was a bug when I moved CC to V2 of a plugin, but I believe it was fixed a very whiile ago (I hope ) The bug was that damage received in, say, qualification, was carried over to the race. I wonder if this has not been fully fixed, will check tomorrow.
Thanks, could you tell me some more info: * What version of CC is it? (latest?) * Is race event the first event you run CC with or was there other session before? * Is it rolling start? * Do you by any chance know if it repros in offline as well? * Do you know if it repros with ISI Stock Cars? * Does it repro with any track or only some tracks? If only some, please tell me exact track/layout/version. I know you told me that it repros always, but I never observed this issue, including wth ISI Stock Cars offline at Daytona. So I need to understand what is different. Note that even a slightest bump is considered as damage (CC will say like "just a scratch"). Meanwhile, anyone experiencing problems could also turn "damage" messages off in Preferences. Edit: If anyone wants to help fixing issue with damages at race start, please follow these steps to collect CC trace: http://thecrewchief.org/showthread.php?142-How-to-collect-Crew-Chief-repro-traces . You don't have to collect the whole session, just save it as soon as you got the wrong message.
Guys, Version 4.8.2.4 adds FE support. We're all new to FE, so wording, logic wrt battery and recharging will change and evolve. Feedback is welcome. Huge thanks to my colleague, @mr_belowski for helping us enjoy FE support today. Jim recorded a lot of sounds and driver names for this. Battery logic is also largely a reuse of his Fuel implementation, hence we can all enjoy this today instead of 2 weeks later
Guys, I've made bunch of fixes and improvements to FE experience in CC based on brief driving session I had during the week. Jim kindly added new sounds too So, now battery status requests via voice or button would tell you about current (approx) charge, estimated laps/time remaining and last lap use, to give you a sense of how your driving/regen/engine changes affect use. Also, fixed issue with stats broken after pit in. Lastly, added some heuristics to detect use increase/decrease. Once again all this is new, and will change and evolve as we all learn. If anyone has spare time and wants to help, we need Hong Kong mapped: http://thecrewchief.org/showthread.php?32-How-to-collect-track-Corner-Data
