Yep. I only have a lap or two in the car so far, but hope to get after it later tonight and this weekend. As it happens, I was recently exposed, too, to the AC version of this car during a fun race we had at Fuji '68, so I will at least be comparing apples to apples. Driving a fair bit of BT20 at the moment too, so there are also oranges to compare to as well. Looking forward to it.
I hope to be there. I'm also seeing that my times with the F312/67 are very similar to my times with the Eve F1b/Matra and Spark F1/Tecno. That might be an interesting mix of cars to consider hosting. The Eve and Spark are a bit long in the tooth and could use an update, but they might be worthy competitors. Anyone else see similar times?
This league is excellent, and I really hope to see more like it the future. It's a great way to race alongside fellow historical F1 enthusiasts and the "gentleman spirit" which worked so well in the GPL series in iRacing (in fact when the historical Monza was introduced we had a "gentleman's agreement" not to make any pass at the banked section on the first lap which came directly after the start but ended in a very narrow stretch of the road with a "bump" which had to be taken in single file, we all got through safely because most of us kept in line and respected each other). Cooperation between drivers is essential for racing these vintage cars especially on fast circuits. To win is good, but to race til the end is unbeatable Unfortunately I personally can't see myself being able to make this particular league because I usually work late and won't even be home. Plus I've got little or no experience on half of the tracks mentioned. Though I really hope to see more in the future, perhaps at the weekend so the time differences aren't so problematic.
LiveRacers is showing only top 3 best laps. If there is good interest this league I upgrade subscription to see more details/lap times.
Very nice offer, Ari, but isn't that also quite expensive? I've heard something on the order of $500 US/server.
Cannot make this work today, but I hope you all have fun out there. Fundamental problem with my FFB and rF2 that I just cannot identify, let alone remedy.
