Will the reworked features come with updated and comprehensive public documentation?

Idk, but the new ui is html, so it would be best to have everything inside the new app and get rid of all the external things. it could be possible to have an ingame documentation like wikipedia or sth. like that.

in the facebook interview of Marcel at the Sim Expo. Marcel was shooting for the end of Sept. The camera-phone operator, an S397 employee I would guess, suggested early October just to be safe.

DX11 public non-beta was supposed to be released by the end of September according to last roadmap. I'm not surprised if these new rain effects only work in DX11, so I'd guess DX11 needs to get out of beta before that. And at the same time somewhere should come the new UI, because DX11 without new UI/HUD cannot use plugins. So lots of things that are supposed to get released, now we can just wait. They kind of all depend on each other, so I think rain is not first on the list.

Working in a much lower level IT than these guys, I understand how hard it is to give a finished date to code.
Taking such complex software and putting a modern face and features onto it must be quite an undertaking and way beyond my knowledge.
I am looking forward to the further improvements to my favourite sim and will wait patiently.
It is looking real good for the future of rFactor 2 and I believe these guys, given time, will pull it off .

I hope they take the time to get things fine, rushed things usually give bad result...

Yeah take your time to release things right, but also think about momentum,we get excited with a release of something and then tumble weeds for months after,I don't care if it take longer, but the road map should take into account keeping people motivated to stay here and race, releasing things with such long periods of nothing happening in between, allows folks to get bored and return to their other games, somehow s397 need to keep up momentum and people interests.
I know it's hard with such small revenues but sparodic releases with no cohesion do not help shift the opinion that this games Dev time is too slow or even dead in some aspects.

I know better than to demand unrealistic things, and I know I'm contradicting myself, but I can't help but want development to show some cohesion or even a little more pace,I kinder wish they never released the mclaren, and waited till all the cars were ready and released it as a pack, not to save money, but to stop the tumble weeds from blowing for so long

Studio 397 should finally start to promote. They have a Youtube channel but only 3 videos since 6 months. We have seen so much about iRacing. Project Cars 2 and Assetto Corsa. How many screenshots have we seen about the new ui? 3? They should show us videos from the new ui, new rain effects, the improved damage model.

Agree.... things have gotten very quiet. But didn't they go on holidays for a month. Maybe that's why the monthly update is late.

Late? How is it late? It's not even the same as the latest previous date yet, and they haven't got any sort of deadline for them.

And what about those videos up there? You don't think that might have contributed a little?

There was plenty of new info from S397 at last weekends SimExpo, check their facebook page for all the juicy details. Technically speaking it'll only be late if it comes next month ;)

I just don't understand why they haven't made a post on here with all those juicy details,or better yet a video on their YouTube channel etc showcasing these details,as it is now,it's just a snip bit someone decided to upload.
