Content really should be optimised
so it's fairly consistent fps car to car track to track

I'm happy for detail to be removed so the more intensive content is less of a hog, perhaps a bit of detail added to very fps friendly content so a happy medium achieved

3rd party modders will obviously do their own thing without any benchmark standard for them to work to & test to

 

Any plans for a September update?

 

I think it's usually around the 19th of the month when they release a road map.
I'm truly hoping of some good news on content and optimisations.
This game is in desperate need of official content

From comments on Discord it looks like there will be some sort of reveal of stuff at SimExpo on Saturday 16th.

 

Yes there will be lots of updates on things at the expo and some sneak previews.
Marcel hinted at some live stuff if the Internet allows.

 

I hope they will post in the forums as well instead of relying on people only tuning into the sim expo coverage

 

Oh of course, I would expect a road map as usual.

I think they will simply be using the expo to expand on some of the things coming up.

 

Hopefully a reveal of the UI release date. Feels like the UI update is taking FOREVER. I think it is because they are doing so much work behind the scene on the overall changes to rF2 (web based multiplayer competition stuff, graphical updates, Etc) and the UI is an integral part of that. It just feels like every month passes without any major change since the DX11 update and beta was released.

I want rF2 to come out of the gate with the new UI and competition changes like a bull through a stockade fence. Or maybe like a debutante being introduced at a ball. A re-release of the game in it's new and much improved form. A change and introduction like that takes time I know, but the wait is killing me.

 

I'm expecting another incremental update, hopefully it will be your scenario Depco, but I'm keeping my expectations low...if nothing else it limits disappointment.

The reflection on road also looks much better, I think.

 

The reflections are beautiful, especiallly headlights distortion. I miss more powerful headlights. With McLaren at night I couldn't see very well when I tried last week.
