    so does that mean that the app doesn't see any key presses when the game is maximised? Does it see button presses? To be honest, I'm not sure if there'll be anything we can do here if this is the case

    I am surprised to hear that too. I am using wheel button to talk to chief and rF2 is in focus, they key press goes through, so I am not sure what is happening.

    Yeah just tested, Crew Chief is not getting any key imput here if game is on focus. Even to turn off the spotter have to alt tab first
    Personally not a big deal as I run windowed, can alt tab like a browser so no problem at all

    Do you happen to run any joy to key software? If so, try to see if it works with that off.

    If you're getting messages "fastest lap in your class", even though you race single series, you might be interested in this. I've added instructions on CC forum on how to add your favorite series to the Crew Chief mapping:

    Adding new car class to the Crew Chief
    As our team can't physically drive every single mod/series out there, we can't add them all. Here's how you can help:
    - Start CC
    - Pick a series to race
    - Start a session
    - Stop CC
    - CTRL+A/CTRL+C in CC Console window.
    - Send that text to us with brief description what series/class it is.

    We will map those series to one of the internal classes or add new one, so after an update, series that improperly detected as multi-class will be treated as single class (or, correct multi-class)

    Btw I was in a online race yesterday and when it finished I noticed strange messages there

    It stayed till the end of the race

    Program was working fine tho, so I don't know if this is a issue or not

    that's a bug in the conversion of the driver names. I've just replaced the original RF1 implementation this with the much better RF2 implementation, so it'll be fixed in the next release

    Hi There.
    Finally got around to trying this great mod.

    I have installed everything but get this message. My initial download choice when dl the microsoft voice recognition was was en-au.
    Once I got the message below I then installed en-gb.
    Everything else seems ok just voice recognition not there.

    Have you tried changing the speech recognition locale property in the properties screen? Try setting it to just "en" (without the quotes), or other likely stuff. I dunno to be honest :)

    Hi, is this the right procedure to add an opponent name?

    Put the wav in sounds/driver_names
    edit names.txt and add in-game name:wav name

    EDIT: yes it is :p

    I checked in properties and put the same as in the ms download (en-au). Previously it was just "en"
    Working now. Off to test.

    Wow no need to thank me, what you guys have done is amazing. This tool will be amazing in my self styled career mode vs AI in the ASR Modding 1992 HE cars.

    Guys,
    Check the new beta, lots of cool stuff, but most notably for ISI based simulators we improved session transition detection. So when you hit Next Session in a multisession event, CC should now detect that nicely. Feedback is welcome!

    I believe in the latest version there is a little bug. Volume control does not work. At least in my case. It worked before.

    Glad you're enjoying it:) Unfortunately, I've no idea what's going on, this part of app has not changed in any way. I just raced myself and it is able to detect key press when I talk to CC (and I run minimized to tray). Something steals the key presses and they don't reach CC. Someone on this thread mentioned that it had to do with running rF2 in borderless window mode. My guess is some tool intercepts messages.

    Just discovered CC and have to say with my switch to VR it's a fantastic app. Have a question though - was wondering where CC gets it's car data from. Currently running a Formula Renault 3.5 mod(?) and my Chief tells me that my brakes are too hot when I can clearly see, via the rFactor2 UI, that they are not. Is there anything I can do to make this more accurate?
