Having problems with this. Got the hang of using it & created some race series. Ued these for a while with no problems. Then it came up with an error when I tried to make another. Googled the error & had to delete the pkginfo.dat file. This fixed the problem but all my series were gone. I created a new one ok. But can't do any more, it just comes up with the same error. What am I doing wrong.
It could be this : https://forum.studio-397.com/index....-file-utillity-error-win10.53593/#post-865244
You can make a rfmod on the Endurance Series, the number of car is not a problem to do it. But, after doing the rfmod, you need to update the pkginfo.dat to only keep one vehicule in the list because when you open again Mas2.exe, the tool crash if too many cars in the list. It's only on re-open.
The one you want, I leave generally the first one. Have in mind at the end of the list of teams is closed by a character (don't remember which " perhaps) NOTE: It's not vehicle, but teams
Thats the correct character. One used at each end Examples "13ALMS The Racer's Group #68,1" "13ALMS The Racer's Group #66,0" I notice some finish with a 1" & some with a 0" I'm assuming the 1" will show in my mod & the 0" won't. So in editing the pkginfo.dat I would be safe to remove all the entrees ending with 0"
Try it, I have not the maximum number of team that's lead to make tool crashes when re-open Mas2.exe For sure, if you let the whole list after doing an rfmod, on re-open Mas2.exe crash because too many team à stored in the list.
I've created 5 rfmods now & no problems. The last was using the Endurance Series. I edited that part of the pkginfo.dat leaving just the 24 cars used in the mod. I think the problem with the Endurance Series is all the cars/teams are in one huge group ER_F6rF2
No the issue is in the Mas2.exe that's not manage correctly a huge number of team in a mod when re-opened. Glad you found a solution to avoid to edit the file each time you do and rfmod for the ES.
I notice with other mods I use, the different car groups are separated. Makes it a whole lot easier to create a series in the Mas2. Is there any way I could separate the Endurance Series car Groups?
Somehow separate the groups so only ES_GTE cars show up in the Mas2 teams window. Currently they are combined with SE_P2 cars which is a huge group to search through when creating a rfmod
The mas2.exe mod feature list all the car available in the mod, but don't display a selection of cars by "class" So it's a request to do to S397 to improve the tool. And first to fix the issue around the crash
