I Had the same problem here.
After I did "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" (RightClick on rf2 ... Properties ... Local Files ....) in Steam everything works fine here.

Its working! Resubbed. Car is great so far! Just hope they up the shifting sound a bit more. Standing still and pressing the paddles is completely quiet. Should be a "dunk" shouldnt it? Anyway, most cars in rF2 has juicy shifting sounds and i love that. Give more immersion. The feel of kicking the gear in. But its awesome! Bit lag at the pit compared to others but this one is detailed and looks great, so.

Oh and initial physics feel - great!

 

So if I buy the pack and the McLaren, all cars cost about 2-3€?

 

Each yes. Total of 15€ for 5 high qual GT3 cars. Done deal.

 

Hmm some new problem i never had before is happening now. McLaren was there last time and when i restart the sim its gone from the car list...?

Yeah i had weird issues too including others. Now i cant find the car in the sim... Its there and next time starting the sim up its gone. Dont know how to find it now. Its installed. Might have to unsub/resub every time.

 

Great car. Nothing that feels outright wrong with the FFB or physics. Seat pos is perhaps a bit too far behind, it is a bit too variable with every car in rF2, but that's easy to fix.

Can you guys check something FFB wise. On NOLA after rolling out of the garage spots you drive over cobble stone (turn left at the first turn to get more of it) and on my wheel i dont feel them. On other cars it rattles and feels awesome. Not sure if maybe something need to be cleared other than cbash/shaders or if its for everyone.

And yes, the car is awesome. A beast.

The Mclaren 650S is in the pack.
So you don't have to buy the Mclaren AND the pack.

 

Looks to me, the first payware car is also the best they made (so far). Very impressed!

Re. new McLaren

few questions :

-its a paddle shift wheel (will use my f1 wheel), I cant see a gear stick anywhere ?

-can we assign steering wheel controls I noticed (TC , ABS etc) to the knobs on our own steering wheels ? (or any other place for those that dont have knobs)

-can we adjust the gear ratio's ?

-can we scroll through the graphical steering display assuming they can in real life ?

 

I just bought GT3 pack, the steam feedback is not that good and I had to double check if transaction was successful.
It took ~5 minutes to start the download and everything is great, lovely car.
I hope a laser scanned track pack will be soon announced, can't wait to drop some money in.

 

This sounds like a major cluster F#@##. New players to the game will be totaly lost.

 

Hi Adrian, can answer the first couple of Qs. Yep paddleshift F1 style wheel only larger diameter, assign abs & tc via the controls options ( mine are through the encoders on a Ascher Racing Sim wheel.)
I think GT3 spec cars don't have or have limited adjustable gear ratios?
Not sure if the dash display is controllable?
Oh by the way Bodnar SS2 is still awesome!

What is a cluster fuck? There was some confusion in the beginning but for me it was just because i didnt know the steam wallet thing. It worked instantly though but because S397 havent enabled the "DLC" tab when right clicking rF2 in the steam library you cant see the DLC being installed. However if you go to (in steam) YOURNAME tab - INVENTORY you can see it there, and its actually installing automatically when you buy it so you dont even have to do that.

The next issue i had was that i couldnt see the car. I think it is because i was in steam OFFLINE. Might be that this car isnt available in offline mode atm for some piracy reasons? I might talk out of my ass on that one, but when i went online the car was there in the menu again.

The car is amazing. Cockpit is glorious with all info digitally working. Model is awesome. Sound is awesome and physics is crazy good. Just FFB on my end feels a little dull on the fine details. Might just be me and my crappy wheel but other ISI cars has lots of fine FFB detail. Still, its a superb high quality car. Very happy customer over here.
