Just to update I now run 0.5% minimum torque and 0.70 ffb strength. That along with some setup tweaks has the car feeling really nice for me. Still get a bit of roughness here and there but def manageable.

As far as the showroom issue (maybe?) I have all cars only displaying on the center monitor. Was this changed in the last update? Am I just losing my mind and it's always been like this?:)

Had 5 hours use today some online:

( if I set visible max to 6 cars fps stays stable ) I'm surprising pretty quick in it so it seems

Putting my pre-conceived ideas to the side (mainly derived from iracings rugged SR8 )
This SR3 is latest version & based on this year/model I'm suspecting that radical has made them a bit more refined & track day friendly?

This car provides a good fairly safe close racing experience

Has to be pushed very hard to get some character out of it , enjoyable though & had some good close racing

Dare I say would prefer just slightly less grip overall

The strange & recent problem with ffb exists -at a certain turn angle the forces seem to drop off ( about 120 degrees )

Seems a bit "tight" would love it to be a tad more rugged

    Looking forward to any updates
    especially ffb & visual damage

Big big thanks to studio 397
for this very nice sim-car & FOC too!

Had a blast with the Radical against the AI on Putnam Park (one of my new favorites, at least for this type of car). I like the car, not hard to drive until pushed to the limits or until the tires were gone, made for some fun racing. To me the FFB felt great at defaults (Thrustmaster TX).

I am really enjoying this car, already had some great fun and clean races in the S397 open servers :)

Coincidentally, I received and installed my round suede steering wheel for exactly these types of cars, together with a sequential shifter, absolutely amazing drive.

What I like most, is that you can cruise it around and it doesn't try to kill you. The old addage 'it tries to kill at 50 km/h so it must be realistic' seems like a long time ago! This car makes you get in there and turn laps, but punishes you when pushing to the limit and driving like an ass. Smoothness is rewarded.

Now if only we could have gearbox and drivetrain modelling which would need you to do proper use of clutch and such to work through the gears, that would be the cherry on the pie for me :)

    edit:
Some messy driving and dutch banter, but these are some first day laps :)

The car only weighs 620kg. If you're putting a 70kg person either side of it, then yeah I would think it makes sense

According to my calculations. For a 620 kg car of 1800 mm axle width, a 70 kg person offset by 50 cm would mean 3% and not 7%.

In any case it is simpler to check telemetry and see if under straight braking both wheels load the same.

For me it s the most enjoyable car i drive
No need setup, just push it to the limit and the feedback is awsome ( DD wheel )
No need anything more or less.
Thanks to the guys who have work on this car

+steering system that changes sides as well ;) I believe the dashboard is different, with all buttons relocated. So all in all it adds up quickly

Besides the "tire bump through carbody" and the "mirror lod" issues, i found an issue with the caliper. Seems the caliper is mounted outside the rim  (@Nola, PP none)

That's because of the rim blur, look at it when it's not in motion, you'll see it's behind the spokes.

Wouldn't the wheel blur obscure the caliper if that were the case? Seems strange that it would be behind the wheel spokes when still but in front when there is motion....

There is not really a "front" and a "back". It's just an animation using the transparency for the blend, so it's just about tuning down the transparency a bit, to balance the radial blur against the caliper. We can for sure improve that detail.

hmmm just tried the rad... not sure the ffb makes my belt wheel feel like a geared wheel. It has a weird friction when turning?! Not smooth like all other rf2 cars. Otherwise great car smoothing at defaultt 4, seems to rid this. Ive always used no smoothing. :(
