Hello! Bit of update. I was finally able to cure some bugs that I stopped me releasing this update. I will most likely be ready to release the LE version soon. Historic Edition will also come when I have released one update for 1975 HE and 1976 Ferrari. Im still bit testing with the rain tyres
This is amazing good news. Is it going to be DX9 or DX11 ? I am huge fan of GP79 and as soon update is out I am going to run 24/7 dedicated server to it.
Hello! It will be dx11, but first version will hvae bugs in it. Dx11 havent really worked on my pc, so cannot test.
Here is bit of video of the Williams. I will most likely release cars one by one (Williams and Renault will be first). Fixing some issues with the mod will take bit longer than I taught, so fixing all cars would take another 3-4 weeks. I will make 3 versions of the mod 1979 Historic Edition 1979 League Edition 3.0L Cosworth engine 1979 League Edition 1.5L Turbo engine Yesterday I made my first real turbo engine for Renault RS10 (+sounds) Was very fun to drive (rF1 didnt have any real turbo modeling) There will be some small glitches with graphics, but cars looking very good already Mod will not have animated drivers first. Just bit too much work for me right now (I am working/updating 5 different mods right now, so I dont have time to do this! If somebody interested to help please send me PM)
I am looking forward to 1979 Historic Edition where cars have different engine performance and physics As far as I know there are only Dijon 79, Zolder 79, which perhaps can be used to this mod, Jarama 79 and Kyalami 79 are bad converted and not worth to use at all. Would be nice to find somebody who takes the time to convert few more 79 tracks
All that tracks have poor mesh (and poor graphic), so in rf2 you have a lot of problems with force feedback. For dijon, much better this digga's version https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=865745371
rFactor has also Aurora Cosworth V8 79 mod with same 3D models as GPC79. Aurora F1 was also raced in rl.
Yeah I suggest to use dijon by digga, kyalami 1976, silverstone 1975 and modern Brands Hatch (last one used in race of champions) Looks and feels very good. Also layouts are quite same as the 1979 version.

Hello! I will actually include every car with the first HE release I have worked all night and day with this mod and starting to be ready for release! There will be server open on the release day, so hoping that everybody joins there to race! Planning to release on steam this weekend. Hopefully all works out like it should. Ps. Did some test with DX11 (10FPS for my old PC ), but managed to test that mod looks good in DX11 also
@Postipate Do you think you will ever add driver arms & helmet visor to your mods? Finding both more and more essential when racing in VR
I added arms for one car (was maybe Renault), but sadly the original mesh from cars made the hand go out of the car side it looked bit wrong. But not saying no to this yet Have to just do this bit differently. I dont know how to make visor mod, but would be cool to know.
