Replays, or anything else involving the UI, don't work properly yet. Ignore results. Tell me whether you get stutters while driving in full screen without using sync and without using an artificially low MaxFramerate. Also, use only ISI DX11 updated content if you are trying to test things regarding DX11 (just in case you thought otherwise).

Perhaps this post can help you to get stutter free rFactor 2 : https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/stuttering-while-maxfps-60.56055/#post-898429

I can see that my PC is using 3714MB memory and 4400 ram. Could high memory usage be course why so many are complaining about stutters in rF2 ?

Multiview fullscreen and sync issue seem to be fixed in Build 1879993.
In game multiview UI is still minimized.

Good work S397, well done :)

@Marc Collins The purpose of this replay was just to show the problem, and the stutters are still present without using any sync, with a fps oscillating between 85 and 135. Of course using updated content. Thank you again.

@Ari Antero Thanks Ari, I have just tried "your sync method", and it appear that... I am not really in Fullscreen mode!
What is strange, is that the first time I launch the ui, I know that I am not in Fullscreen when I can't use the mouse or when the keyboard "bip"... so I relaunch rf2 and then I am finally in Fullsceen...
That's what I was thinking, but when I tried what you have suggested with the video sync, my fps is not capped @60... it seems that you found my bug! So thanks again, but is there a solution/tweak for it?

Edit: And the problem remain even with the last build 1879993

Just restart rF2 but don`t close rF2 User interface.
My game seem to work fine with latest Build 1879993 and GEFORCE GAME READY DRIVER
    Version: 382.53 WHQL

@Stan I don`t know which video card you are using but perhaps look a bit memory usage which I am pointing in my post # 244 and if memory is bottlenecking lower in game details and look if it helps to get rid of stutters.

I just tested the latest build, have the same issue(s) and maybe some very good additional info.

I experience 2 issues: the 'fullscreen' and input-lag issue, and stuttering.

Input-lag: I've read about it before and now can confirm it myself: sometimes full-screen doesn't seem to be 'real' fullscreen, as evidenced by 2 phenomenon: hearing windows-sounds when pressing any key(ctrl-c and ctrl-f in my case) and massive input lag. This is what happend: Started rf2, loaded mills and the gp3, went on track, pressed ctrl-c and ctrl-f, was surprised to hear windows-sounds and see massive input-lag and no screen-tearing, restarted rf2, loaded the aformentioned, went on track, pressed the same keys, result: no sounds, no input-lag and heaps of screen-tearing.

In addition to the lag, I also experience massive stuttering as discussed above and it looks just like in that vid. I previously posted about this here where I thought the fullscreen issue to have been solved, but apparently is still intermittently present:

    https://forum.studio-397.com/index....formance-difference.55385/page-10#post-896377

So it seems to be 2 seperate issues, of which the stuttering is always present and the fullscreen issue intermittently. I've made perflogs which hopefully capture both phenomenon. See the file names for info.

EDIT: I found something with the help of the utility GPU-Z and I don't know how it's possible. It might not mean nothing, it might have something to do with the stuttering I experience: when driving, the rf2 GPU-bar, the green one, never goes above 60-70%. In the GPU-Z interface and log-file however, it is evident that the GPU load is often 100%.. Is this just a wrong measurement by either rf2 or GPU-Z, or is something elso off? added GPU-Z log and pic

@Ari Antero So Ari, my card is an MSI-780GTX-OC2, build is 1879993 and I updated the driver to 382.53... I'm still unable to get my fps capped by video_sync, and no noticeable change on the stutterings!
About the used memory, it report between 3700/3900mb and for the rF2_ram, only 1735... then it could be the cause of the stutters!?!

    MSI-780GTX-OC2 has 3072 mb VRAM
You can download MSI Afterburner from this link:http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/msi-afterburner-beta-download,2.html
I did run a test with 780Ti and VRAM usage seem not to cause stutters but you can look with Afterburner how much VRAM you pc is using.
I am not sure if you are using in game texture filter x16 but if you are lowering texture filter to x8 gives better fps and I don`t think you are going to notice any visual difference x16 vs x8 with ordinary resolution. (1920x1080, 5760x1080 etc.)

Both of my game PC`s seem to work fine with latest Build 1879993 and GEFORCE GAME READY DRIVER
Version: 382.53 WHQL. However if you are still experiencing that rFactor 2 is running unlimited fps when rF2 is in fullscreen mode with VIDEO sync the only option to fix this is to restart rF2( don`t shut down rfactor 2 launcher) as many times that rF2 fps is caped when VIDEO sync is used.

    @Ari Antero
Thanks and good morning Ari, I did try to lowered the aniso at x8, but it has had no effect, neither on stutterings, nor on fps.
About the VIDEO sync, I have restarted rF2 5 times (without shutting down the launcher), but I have never been able to see the fps capped @60! So, probably the "Fullscreen mode" could be the main reason behind the stutters!?!

Yes you are in Windowed mode when unlimited fps VIDEO sync on which I believe is causing stutters.

@4thworld Hi, thanks for asking... it happen on any (updated) cars and tracks, but the problem is even more prominent on tracks with closer background (eg. Palm_Kart)... if you want to have a look at it, look at the video I posted a bit above.
