Just noticed a graphical anomaly whilst driving the Skippy on Miils in VR. As you pass the start finish, the grid boxes are wider and as you approach them to pass they suddenly narrow down, as if the left & right eye are not being measured out properly.

On a side note, what a GREAT race that is, Skip Barber on Millls Inner Loop B, started at the back in 20th and got 3rd in 12 Laps. What a FANTASTIC experience! The skips are great and it is the cars that I spent most of my time in rF2 learning how to drive/race. Looking forward to their update but at the same time hoping nothing changes too drastically in the physics department.

I went back to AC tonight to see how different the 45fps vs 90fps is. I had been really appreciating that game recently but tonight I just thought how flat & dull it all felt (Mazda 787b around Spa).

Now that I've got a working formula for SP races in VR I'm beginning to really appreciate was S397 are doing with rF2 & rekindling my joy for this title. Thank you.

I also have a GTX 1070 (i7 3770, 16 GB), but I'm getting 85 FPS average (55 at start) on Nords with the Honda Civic BTCC - starting from the back behind 17 AI. If you are using Post Processing (DX11 feature) on DX9 optimized content that could be costing you 15-20 FPS.

    Nordschleife, 17 Civic BTCC AI, Fullscreen, 3440x1440, AA=3, Sunny/Clear, 2PM, and every rF2 display setting on HIGH/MAX (S.Blur = Optimal, A.Tex x16).

Aggresive Threading is a last resort for older cpu's(or gpu's I already forgot!) Anyhow, most users have reported no difference and S397 stated most of us should ignore it.

I had a problem of having excess video lag. I haven't been playing rf2 lately because of that. Yesterday i tried rf2 and the lag problem was gone. Thanks s397! Now i ordered vive so it will be interesting to try that.

For me is the worst version...
On all tracks there is a loss of frames (not too severe, but still significant)
A bit disappointed: the previous one worked better

    I have a triple monitor amd eyefinity setup with a 22 center & 2 x 19's on the side.

I downloaded & installed the DX 11 beta last night to try it out. I have all plugin's disabled loaded it up and it had set the video Resolution to that of my centre monitor only of 1680 x 1050. Proceeded to do a 10 car race against ai. put the frame rate monitor on just to see and was getting an average of 70 FPS+. Quit out of the race, went into options and changed the resolution to my usual triple screen 4560 x 1050, pressed the button to race and it duly crashed back to my desktop with the error of rf2 is not working.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and have you managed to solve it?

In the meantime I'm going to revert back to dx9.

Same for me. I had a random 40 FPS loss while driving. Also when pressing escape, on triples+multiview, the world keeps "moving" on the side screes: a few frames that moves and moves and moves and never stop.

I want to know will replay fps improve. I'm on a 1080 i7 with full maxxed out game. And I'm getting 30-40 in replays and about 70-80 on track in car!? Even at night

rF2 definitely needs better optimization. I'm running 1920x1080, 60fps, AA=4, PP=off, most in-game settings=high, shadows=medium, shadow blur & soft particles=off, image quality is average at best (compared to other DX11 games), fps is generally ok in races in cockpit view but can get pretty bad in replays.
Meanwhile games like PCars & Dirt Rally look better and run smoother with most in-game settings on medium.
    My specs: i5 4460 @ 3.2GHz, 8GB RAM, GTX 750 ti 2GB, Windows 10.

What PC hardware do you have? Did you clear CBASH/Shaders/Player.JSON after you made changes? Just to be sure.

Apologies as I think I saw this somewhere, but I can't find it. How do you fix the excessive bloom issue?

Don't use DX9 mods, only dx11 ones otherwise i believe this can happen, the modders have to fix it.

Should be able to set video to no Post Processing. Without Post Processing, there's no bloom.

Indeed. Also good to remember that PCars and Dirt Rally was made with DX11 in mind. Built for DX11 from the ground up. I dont know how programming work on any advanced level, but im guessing its a bit harder to "convert" a DX9 programmed title to DX11?
