Hi, I create this specific thread because I have a problem and it seems I'm not alone : Maybe I'm forgeting someone
Yes, this is one of the main issues for me with the VR implementation right now. I tried setting the Car and Cockpit Vibration Mult to 0 in player.JSON, but that didn't do much. If setting the head physics slider in the options menu to 0 the view is fixed to the cockpit (which I like) but the track is shaking a lot. Setting the silder to 100 results in shaking of the cockpit and probably a bit less shaking of the track. It would be very nice to be able to reduce the shaking of the cockpit and the track, otherwise am getting a headache after some time.
Yep certain cars (stiff ones for example) are undriveable on certain sections of tracks, Studio397 tried a "lock to horizon" but it caused further problems, hope they'll revisit it one day or find another solution.
I've had some success with the Real Head Motion plugin, but I've still not being able to fully lock the horizon (it seems to work in 2D, but not as well in VR), which would be preferred for VR.
Just change value in players J.SON file "Car Vibration Mult1":0, "Car Vibration Mult2":0, "Cockpit Vibration Mult1":0, "Cockpit Vibration Mult2":0
I am fine with that but others have tried this (see the second post) and want it closer to locked to horizon so the car moves around more than the track
Try that: "Car Vibration Mult1":1.00952, "Car Vibration Mult1#":"Primary engine vibration multiplier affects position of cameras attached directly to the car", "Car Vibration Mult2":1.00952, "Car Vibration Mult2#":"Secondary engine vibration multiplier affects orientation of cameras attached directly to the car", I have also a little bit cockpit-vibration on, but that is propably not suitable for VR.
I'll look at my settings tonight , but I don't get that vibration I read here . Or maybe because I've being using VR for almost 4 years I don't notice it -- lol
Drive the Megane at Bathurst for example, with all vibrations Off/0 and you'll soon see how bad it can be!
Ok I see what you guys are on about now ,hadn't driven that combination before and it's pretty bad , this hopefully will be fix sooner rather than later
Just chiming in as I would love an option to reduce the vibration in VR. On certain circuits it's unplayable.
Did you check out the instructions ? https://sites.google.com/site/midid...dmotion-plugin/real-head-motion-for-rfactor-2
Yes and it didn't do anything in VR. I may be using the wrong values but I left it as it is by default and used Lockedworldtohorizon.
I'm using the Real head motion plug in and I find it works really well in VR with default settings. I have turned off all the head motion in RF2 settings.
