A bit disappointing. Had a day off (Bank Holiday) today so would have been perfect for a day of messing around with the new beta but it's now 7.30pm (UK) and I've given up hope for today and back to work tomorrow
it's the same in south america, a perfect day for fun but we are just waiting and waiting. Good news about the update, but bad timing to release it.
I feel your pain stevemuseum, must have been some bugs that were found last minute for the prerelease
Literally whole world is waiting Studio 397 to release DX11 beta for rFactor2, because webpage and forum is loading very slowly.. other pages are loading much faster.
False alarm, 1.8GB was the Formula 1975 League edition but there was a second update for Nola v1.1, USF2000 v1.1, Nissan GT500 v1.4
You have to tick the box in video settings of the launcher before entering the game Either way, my first impression is that the implementation is pretty behind iRacing and AC. Some of it is probably because using SteamVR with the Rift, which kills performance, and then there is no bump smoothing at all, it's like if they hit your head with a hammer every time you go over one. At least it's better than nothing, but here is hoping it will improve with some feedback
Thanks Kokomo. With my 980ti, ASW is running almost all of the time with little headroom left in the gpu according to oculus tray tools. A 1080ti coming in the next couple weeks so it will be interesting to see. Adding 1.5 pixel density didnt seem yo really change anything, AA and sharpening certainly required. I dont regularly use RF as I have been waiting for VR so my OSW wheel seeming to have it's FFB on about 1% could be something else not related to the new update.
I have a GTX 970 and it runs pretty terribly for me with everything on low, while AC is a constant 90fps. I'm interested to see if things work better for folks with Vives
don't waste your time. Roll back the update - everyones performance is completely smashed. It's not VR specific. Desktop single screen 1080p configurations with overclocked Titans and i7s can't even manage 60-70fps. Lol.
