Hello everyone! Maybe I'm asking for too much here, but is there an ETA for the update tomorrow, and I literally mean time? I'm a student and I have finals in a month, so I obviously have to study, but I'm really looking forward to the update tomorrow, and I'd like to reward myself with one hour rF2 time. I like to plan my time for the next day, but it's guess work since I don't have a clue about when the update will be deployed. I live in western Europe. Thanks for reading! Thrindil
I probably should have mentioned that I live in a student residence (not sure if that's the right translation), so I leave the house tomorrow evening. I'm only home in the weekends basically Edit: maybe it's "dorm"?
To elaborate, I've been looking forward to this update for at least 3 years now. Like every other rFactor 2 fan, I want to try it out as fast as possible. However, that might not be possible for me due to time constraints and the fact that I only have my sim rig available in the weekends. An estimated time of arrival, or a "between ..pm and ..pm" for the update would be helpful for me. I can understand why devs don't usually give those times beforehand, but since it would be handy for me, I thought: "I might as well ask, you never know..."
The day, 1st May starts in Kiribati then New Zealand then Australia.. um feeling discriminated against here .. we have to wait for the 2nd !! Ah well what's another eternity
Guesstimate I have a feeling it's a really long slog for 397 devs just to get it out tomorrow , might be a few bumps after release but then we are use to this I guess
True, it's probably rFactor2s biggest update yet, and ISI has had bumps with much much smaller updates. I know it's a different studio working on it now, but still, I do expect a few bumps too tbh. You're right, going to bed will at least relieve our pain. Good night
Yep, well and truely the 1st here in Oz, 9:43am to be exact, come on update Definitely feel your pain OP I'm heading away for the week first thing tomorrow morning so I'm really hoping it's out by tonight Australian time.
I wouldn't bet on it...more likely to be early hours Tuesday for us, given that they are hoping to have it out mid afternoon (European time)
steam handles updates like these. I'm guessing we will need to 'opt in' to the dx11 beta branch, steam takes care of the rest. If you decide to opt out again, steam will download the dx9 version again. Nothing else required by the user
