Need the community help on something as I'm a bit confused on tyre wear and brake
in spotter.ini there are these numbers which need to be changed for particular cars:

    v:brakeTooHot=530
    v:brakeTooCold=130

    v:tireTooHot=105
    v:tireTooCold=80

I think these default numbers are not good for all cars. From were you get these settings right?

For the brakes, this is for steel brakes.
For the tires, it's for slick tires.

    Thanks IronWolf

So using Carstat2 i managed to get the optimal range for brakes. Great as I have the two settings.

Regarding tyres i get the optimal tyre temp example 94 and the starting temp example 27.

So what would be the two values here for tyre temp range? for sure not 27 - 94

This stuff is mod depended, also depends on how hard you push your tires, how worn are they etc. For most classes I have range 60-120. I honestly don't notice much difference between cold and optimal temperature tires.

Unfortunately the link to download the spotter is down and I can not find a mirror anywhere.
Gerald Jacobson has also not been online for a while, could anyone please reupload the plugin?
https://mega.nz/ is a great site for uploading files.

IIRC it has radar feature that renders on screen. With luck, with this feature off it might work.

    Go to and open <rF2InstallDirectory>\UserData\player\Spotter\Spotter.ini
Set 0 to the following line:
Visual.Car.Radar.mode=0 // 0 = off, 1 = elliptic radar with indicator inside the edge, 2 = indicator on screen edge, 3 = elliptic radar with indicator on edge (3 is the best in my opinion)

will release version 3.0 this weekend.

side note: Virtual Racing Malta might in the near future open its doors to foreign drivers and become part of our family. This is our 11th year running the club. We're finding it difficult to find dedicated drivers on rFactor2. We started the championship (GT3) in October. Second race is next thursday. We need 1 more driver to join us for this season. This will also help us how things work with foreigners in our club. If anyone is interested just send a private message. Before I suggest you have a good tour of our website: http://www.virtualracingmalta.com
