I have a question regarding gauges. I`m trying since a couple of hours the gauge FuelPressure to get working, but it still shows a static value. Just as an example, other gauges are off, untill ignition was turned on, FuelPressure is allways on the same level, also when ignition is off. Could it be, that FuelPressure isn`t working?
? What value in the engine.ini (or other) would "make" the fuel pressure than? I don't think there is any for that.
Fuel pressure does work it just not that useful lol, having the engine on or off does not affect the needle position. I've noticed the needle only moved (slightly) when I got down to 0.1gallons of fuel and really starts moving at 0.0 by which time you've probly already figured out that your low on fuel... However if RF2 is capable of replicating a leak on your fuel tank/system then it would be useful?
Bit odd that, even if the fuel pump comes on before engine starts (strictly guessing here) it would still turn off with the engine, not sure if this is the same in GTL/GTR2? I'll go and give them a try and let you know, could be something to do with the engine.ini as Navigator mentioned. Having a quick test it seems they all work the same way (Mini in PnG+GTL and the Corvette '76 in GTR2).
If it is electrical, yes, if it is an old car for the street, it's mechanical and moved by the engine, so no fuel pressure until the engine starts.
It's more like; having a carburettor or fuel injection, that is the big difference. The carb has a bowl with fuel in it and that fuel gets sucked out, then the pump starts going properly and fills up the bowl again. Injection; if no pressure, the valve can open but the fuel won't come out; it needs pressure right away.
