How much longer do we have to wait? I can't find any news in the dev blogs about it. Can we at least get some kind of progress update?

Since we haven't seen any mention of it, I wouldn't hold my breath.

I don't know if there is something clearly wrong with the tyres of historic cars, but updating them to latest tyre model would be nice.

Most of the oldest content, doesn't have chassis flex too. I don't think S397 will use resources to update them when they can deliver new content, that is maybe payware. BUT a team of modders could ask permission to them to make the upgrade and release it officially or as 3PA content. I don't think they would refuse.

I would love to have an updated Howston G6

Worst they can say is no.... someone just has to ask them... and then do the work :)

Worst that can happen is rely and wait for the community to do the work instead of it being a first-party project. And we need more skins to choose from.

The rfactor 2 historic content is the very best historic in sim racing
Surprised Isi didn't keep this updated

Rfactor 2 historical along with a few more historic tracks could easily be a stand alone title the quality is so good

@bwana I'm guessing it wouldn't be Toban, so possibly the tyres. Older ones lack a couple of damp/wet modifiers which can end up giving wet tyres more grip in certain conditions, depending how they're set up relative to drys.

    My guess:
-The two panoz-cars (back of the GT-line)
    - GP2-alike car (in the middle of the Formula/kart-line)
    So that's three :)

I might be bad at counting, but Panoz Esperante GT2, Panoz GTR-1, Dallara IR-03, and I don't think we have that specific F1 (or Formula ISI) car either (with the shark fin) ;) although probably the last 2 options I gave have been replaced by newer versions :)

A simple upgrade package could do the trick.

Yes, proper tyres for the oldies would be nice. With proper tyres I mean tyres that work best on proper tyre pressures, not at their absolute minimum instead.
