One car converted from rfactor. One car, it means that i have only one veh file in my Teams mas. In spinner, the car look fine. On track, the player car look also fine. AI cars are the main problem. Some of them works fine, many other look incomplete, only carbody is visible, other parts are not rendered. I can not imagine how it is possible, I'm going crazy! Any ideas?
Just some guesses here as this is not really my "cup of tea", but is it okay to have (for suspension in this case) 1 line for each setting and two for max? Could it skip one line and having no suspension, then no tyres also? Plus; I am used to having the max setting at the top, but again; I have no idea........just an idea. Edit; the spindle......lodout 50. What happens when you set it to 500? Seems low, 50. Again; not "seeing" that one may screw up all that is attached to it?
No, thats not fair. You ask, you get reply's; you do know what is different now instead of first.......people her take time for you; do something back I'd say.
I do not understand why your answer is so rude. When I say that I have solved, do not mean that I definitely resolved, I mean that I realize what created the issue. Now I have a "working" car, but with compromises. Trying things, I discovered that the problem was in the debris section, so, I temporarily moved some GMTs from debris section to carbody. Do you think I can suggest this dirty process? It is an expedient, not a real solution to the problem! I do not think this would be a valuable contribution to the forum, quite the contrary. When I'll find a permanent solution, I will post the modified gen file, but at present, it has no sense to do so!
Rude is in the eye of the beholder; in my mind I wasn't. Seems like "a" solution you found in the lines I quoted; you could have shared that. Even if it is no permanent solution; there IS a way and maybe someone else: - can look further into that area - knows where to look - needs "a" solution too, not a permanent one There is no solution, but you do have some info; why not share? We did.......
One day someone may come across the same problem and find this link on google. It would be great if there was a solution or even a compromises in this thread to fix it in the meantime
if I knew an effective solution, I would share more than willingly. For now I have only a gen file that displays correctly the car but that made fixed some detachable parts. Last but not least, I'm now experiencing a malfunction of the damage system. In fact, at the slightest contact with an object, engine breaks down.
This may be getting fixed in this big update coming in the next couple of weeks..... Maybe if we all pray to the "White Knuckle Driving Gods"!!
I finally definitively identified the problem. Very simply, the HDV files referred to a damage file with a .dmg extension. rfactor digesting all without problems, rFactor2 not. I never imagined it could be a similar problem, because rf2 gave no error message. I got there just because I was investigating a strange problem which meant that the car's engine broke every time the car touched any object. Unbelievable that such a problem can also affect the graphics. Lesson learned, filed problem.
