Cant see the launcher

As tittle say......alltough its running according to task manager but i dont see it, wierd with the build 1028 i see the launcher and so i can fire the sim, but the steam version dont want.
Did a verify cache and all is fine.

Anybody can help me?

 

How do you try to start rF2 in this case?

 

I cant start it !

I tryed everything to no avail, the launcher (STEAM VERSION) is in the background but i cant see it.
my old build 1028 on the contrary works good, i can see the launcher and start RF2.

 

Am I speaking chinese? HOW (with what shortcut or exe) do you try to launch the game??

 

i tryed with the shortcut steam creates on the desk, and directly "launch rfactor.exe" tryed with admin rights but nothing works

 

Just a stab , but do you have a tv or another screen hooked up to your pc , maybe check there if you do .

 

For the first time, starting rF2 Steam version, it takes longer till the launcher appears, because rF2 is downloading all workshop content. But usually there is a small window showing this task.

 

no, dont have any tv hooked, i run with triple monitor.

 

i dont see any windows as i said opening task manager i see the launcher running but it dont show up.
waited up to half hour and nothing appear.

 

I guess you triee to kill the task and relauch it ?
Same for rebooting your computer ?

no, there are no icon of the launcher in taskbar.
when i reboot and i start it, i see the launcher eventualy and i can start the game, but after that when i start the launcher again (without reboot), i cant see it.

opening the task manager make me see the launcher.exe running.

EDIT: made a test, rebooting the PC let me see the launcher but only after reboot, if i close it i cant see it again.
So if i want to drive in RF2, i have to reboot first (wich is insane because i got to setup everything again)

 

Just in case..have you maybe checked the box "Auto Close Launcher" in settings?

Have you Verified Files in Steam? that can fix odd behaviour some times.

 

Yes, was the first thing i did.

Tomorow i'll do it again, who knows....

 

Nothing new on the "invisible launcher" front, still the same.

 

Can you try to kill the task in task manager instead of rebooting ?
I guess that would work has a workaround for the time being

 

Do you have in the launcher the box "Auto Close Launcher" checked? If yes maybe its not coming back to the front after closing the game.
In this case just uncheck the option.

I did that but it dont work.
with a fresh reboot i start RF2 and i see the launcher, i try to keep it in the taskbar when i close RF2, but if for whatever reason it goes away, i cant start RF2 again cause i wont see the launcher.
Only way is to reboot.
