I just hooked up a Fanatec CSL Elite wheel and am not seeing the LEDs light up on either the base or the wheel itself. I dug around in the controls/settings but did not have much luck figuring it out. Supposedly rFactor *1* required the use of FanaLEDs, but I wasn't sure if it was also required for rFactor 2. Also, I have the CSL Elite LC pedals and rFactor 2 didn't have any settings that it knew about for that setup, so I ended up having to tweak/customize everything anyway. Thanks in advance!
hey thoraxe, yeah I've got the same base, I get the led's on power up but not ingame & yes it all does werk with FanaLEDs, I found that the OSD of Trackmap was all I needed anyway, the led's just got to bright fer me so in the bin for FanaLEDs. As for setup your better off doing it manually anyways, better to setup the buttons with the way you want it, rather than learn a setup you might not like. SS
"Use Additional Hardware Features":true, "Use Additional Hardware Features#":"Whether to use additional hardware features like steering wheel LEDs", Search this line in your Controller.json and check if it's set to true. Or use Fanaled then you have set it to false.
@alpha-bravo in my Controller.JSON as well as in the specific config file that I saved that setting is "true". So I am thinking that I will need to use Fanaled?
Are you new to Windows? Ctrl-F is the Find shortcut in most programs, or you could use the menus: Edit -> Find Type or paste what you want to find, press Enter (or click "Find" or equivalent). Be careful if editing JSON files, they have a particular format. Make sure you leave/replace any commas at the end of lines, have matching "" around "text", etc.
Additional info. You must power on and push the connect button before you start up rF2 or the LED's on the wheel LED will not work.
