Build updates won't tax anyone's connection, they are typically small and Steam even knows to compare files so that it doesn't download extra items. Content updates may take longer, but you can always unsubscribe from ISI workshop item if you don't want those. ISI has released about 2-3 new cars per year lately, so IMO people are making Steam downloads a bigger issue than they are.

Not sure if that was targeted at game updates or steam updates, but either way if you're going to play online and aren't constantly online I think having to update when you get online, either the game or steam, is pretty hard to avoid sometimes. Playing offline in the interim won't be affected by steam or not.

It should be a racing sim, but as they told Marcel, the new title is not in direct competition to rF2.
Also they gave away their whole content team to Studio-397.
    A bit strange.

I have no interest until ISI says something to confirm what it is. At this point, with Studio 397 looking after rF2, I can imagine scenarios where my interest level is zero all the way to very high. No point in getting excited about an imaginary product, though, so I will wait for some actual information.

I think it may be a speed boat racing sim or it may be all out specific true sim dirt rally title

Either way it really has to be dx11 & VR

Honestly? I´m no more interested in anything ISI is doing!

I wont swallow that crappy development-philosophy one more time.

I must admit I'll hold off from purchasing as I don't want anything in future that seems to unfinished or polished , me & rf2 experience in the past has not been good it's never seemed like a rounded title

But I'm a big fan of ISI physics/ffb -they are top at producing a great software core
so I'll keep an eye on anything they release in future
-but not be so fast to jump on the band wagon

Party moved and there was no sign posted on the door! If it wasn't for Chris Elliot's tweets, I'd still be watching for a resumption of the forum at isiforums.net/f/forum.

Hi every one I've just come back to RFactor2 after being away for a couple of months dead PC life ect
To find that ISI& rfactor2 have parted ways WTF!!
So dose this mean that I am forced to convert to crap data pig steam to stay up to date with the latest build/ mods ect ?
will all my current DLC that I have installed roll over to steam or do I have to start again & download 50+GIG from steam ?
    How dose this all work?????
    What is going on???
Will I have to buy another steam Licence ? I sincerely hope not
Why is there no standalone non steam version any more ?
    Any help would be appreciated
Please don't flame me because I Don't like steam

It is for most people with super fast internet & unlimited data.
I have games that I cant play because steam tells me I cant play off line because I need a 20G update.
Ive had no end of trouble with steam they take weeks to get back to you & cant resolve issues
Thanks for your comment but it didn't answer any of my questions
