The latest ISI cars released don't have animated wipers anymore (I think Howston G4/G6 was the last car with this feature), which to me indicates that rain FX won't happen.

I believe development on rF2 is slowing due to "Not rF3" getting resources from the ISI development team. I think that rain FX is a low priority and likely wont be worked on for the foreseeable future, if ever again.

Where did you hear this? They haven't said anything to that effect anywhere. Besides, rF2 still has a lot of work and still feels quite WIP.

Hopefully the "not rF3" is a racing game that will have all the updates rF2 needs so it can be ported back
Cause releasing a game based on rF2 as it is now if you want to sell in the mainstream market... good luck lol

What updates does RF2 need in your view?

Slow down, it's not so difficult to implant a new sprite effect or a possibility to modify this for your players....
We don't ask to remake all the game...
Just this litle feature, it's frustrating to drive and see after few laps it's rain massively, you just see the rain at very low speed or stop...
We just ask a possibility to see this rain at high speed, it's all, done.

    Thanks

    So we can't modify it...

    Please ISI !! :)

I guess this is as intended. If end user could modify rain effects etc, you could just reduce the spray and get an advantage in online competitions.

Even something simple, like rain drops in GTR2, would be a step forward. For now, I just turn on wipers in T5 when it starts to rain, at least that :D
