I see in real life, the gap between 1st and last was 8 seconds at Spa! So no doubt your modelling is accurate. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1988_Belgian_Grand_Prix#Qualifying Just want to say thanks so much for this mod, the handling feels great and the sounds, omg the sounds, make modern F1's sound like toys! I'm already making plans for how I'm going to go about this, probably start in the Zak speed with a goal over the championship to not come last. Perhaps I'll get an invite to join the Arrows if I do that.
Same here about the crash, after two complete races at Monza and one at Paul Ricard (all races 100% lenght) rFactor 2 crashes to desktop. Don't know why. For now, just press Esc just after you pass the finish line of the last lap, then click on "finish session". p.s. loving the mod, just pure fun!
OT but if you experience crashes to desktop at the end of the sessions, you may try disabling replay recording (set to off). Worked for me.
Fantastic work!...cant wait to try it out, [emoji1319][emoji93][emoji469] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
lol that's one way to go about it. I did about 4 or 5 laps at Brazil and had 92% tire wear on the fronts, 98% on the rear. Kind of strange how it understeered everywhere and there weren't many setup options left to get some rotation in the car.
The track seems unstatable, because many our game clients have crushed at the last of session of two races that we have raced on multiplay at Monte Carlo. We used "ISI Renault Clio 197 V1.63" at that time. P.S. This mod is very nice. However, I want to avoid to forcibly change the UI.
Please do not require changes to global settings like volume, head physics, controllers, or anything else just for one mod that then requires going back to "normal" settings for everything else. Just a general best practice that all modders should try to follow.
We got same issue at Detroit also today. The vehicle is The Flat6 Series rF2 build 1.00 by EnduRacers & GR. Parhaps, the issue seems the crush happen when top racer crossed the finish line.
Hey there, first off wanna say that this mod is fantastic in terms of sound and graphics, and HUGE kudos to actually including all of the 1988 season tracks! I do have one question for anyone who may be able to help me, is there any way to force the AI to perform realistically? As it stands now the cars are all around the realistic pace that their true life counterparts peaked at however the AI drivers tend to falter compared to real life. For instance Aryton Senna has a tendency to qualify outside the top ten, and while I drive a lotus I am able to start on the first row of the grid (while my teammate starts 20th or something, I play on 95% difficulty). Are there any settings I can tweak to achieve a more realistic race experience?
that's a huge task for all the tracks. if you want know more about the "easy" ai things look here http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/12831-The-definitive-AI-Settings-Thread http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/23955-%2A-AI-Learning-Step-by-Step-Guide-%2A Fundamental changes you have to do in the devmod of rf2
After long testing i finally found the cause of crashes at end of races on most tracks. There is a problem with the moveable marshalls when they change to victory animation. Its already fixed for the next update. sorry for inconvenience.
Hi carrera.4, do you have plans to work on revamping the tracks and for cars, working on chassis bodylines, audio, textures, engine braking, brake power and the tires? It's an impressive undertaking to go solo on your huge rF1 mod.
Sure, I already have do a lot , when u compare to rf1 ,tyres (some rims are on work too) and forward suspensions are new, and pls dont forget the work that was needed just for going to rf2. Just an example, the moveable driver made me crazy till it was working fine ,lool. Also on some older tracks I invested a lot of time to improve a lil the quality. Like u already said its a huge project and ofc needs a lot more work. But i suppose i need to stop my real life job and just work on the mod loooll. I do my best and till I have fun on modding i will do it.
